Mariah Carey gave fans a rare glimpse into her everyday life when she shared a TikTok of herself doing her weekly grocery shopping. The 56-year-old superstar was seen pushing a shopping cart around a Pavilions store, picking up wine, cereal, and snacks while looking both amused and slightly bewildered.

At one point, Mariah giggled and asked, “Are we really going to pay for this?” Fans quickly reacted in the comments, noting, “This is foreign to her and it shows,” referring to the diva’s known unfamiliarity with everyday chores. It’s hideous lighting.”

She clarified that sunlight is fine, especially at sunset, but indoor lighting can make her feel unwell. “Overhead lighting, it makes me sick! Please stop it! Everywhere I go, shut the lights! I don’t want to see them no more,” she said.

Fans found the grocery shopping clip particularly relatable, seeing Mariah in a more human and down-to-earth moment. The singer kept a low profile in black sunglasses and a bomber jacket while navigating the store, showing a side rarely captured in the spotlight.
