Fans got an exciting glimpse behind the scenes of Apple TV+’s upcoming thriller Safe Houses, as Ana de Armas and Jennifer Connelly were spotted sharing a light moment on set. The new photo shows the actresses in the back of a vehicle during what looks like a night shoot, smiling and enjoying themselves between takes.

Ana de Armas wore a fitted black leather jacket that suited her character, fugitive agent Sofia Jiménez. Her long, dark hair fell in soft waves, and she laughed openly with her co-star. Jennifer Connelly looked elegant in a tan trench coat with a contrasting dark collar, reflecting her role as Ambassador Elizabeth Winthrop. She gave the camera a calm, warm smile, showing her poise on set.

Safe Houses is set to be an eight-episode limited series based on Dan Fesperman’s 2018 novel. The story begins with the murder of a CIA officer in Madrid, sparking a dangerous investigation from two very different women. Ana de Armas’s character is accused of the crime and must clear her name, while Connelly’s character, the officer’s widow, starts her own investigation from the inside. Their paths collide as they uncover a global conspiracy.

This project marks a notable shift for de Armas, who has been focused on film work. She recently starred in Ballerina, the John Wick spin-off, and in the survival thriller Eden, which Sydney Sweeney described as “the most fascinating look at humans and mankind.”

Connelly continues to balance television and film work. She stars in Apple TV+’s sci-fi series Dark Matter and is expected to return for its second season. Her role in Top Gun: Maverick has also solidified her status as a global star. Fans are excited to see her share the screen with de Armas, calling it a dream casting for a high-stakes drama.

This behind-the-scenes photo gives fans a taste of the chemistry between de Armas and Connelly, and many are already buzzing online about their on-screen showdown. The combination of Connelly’s experience and de Armas’s energy promises a thrilling ride for viewers.
