Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried are lighting up social media again with a stunning throwback from the premiere of The Housemaid, the hit psychological thriller that dominated theaters earlier this year. Fans have been eagerly sharing the image, showing the two actresses in glamorous, contrasting looks that stole the spotlight.

In the photo, Sydney Sweeney stuns in a custom ivory gown by Galia Lahav. The dress features a deep V-neck and a structured corset that highlights her figure. Delicate crystal detailing sparkles across the bodice, while a dramatic feathered chiffon stole adds a touch of Old Hollywood glamour. Her blonde hair falls in soft waves, and a bold red lip completes the vintage-inspired look.

Next to her, Amanda Seyfried wears a shimmering red midi dress from Monse’s Pre-Fall 2025 collection. The gown has intricate beadwork and a ruched design at the hip, creating a modern, sculpted silhouette. She accessorizes with a statement Tiffany & Co. necklace and metallic heels, letting her hair flow in relaxed waves.

The Housemaid, directed by Paul Feig and based on Freida McFadden’s bestselling novel, tells the story of Millie, played by Sweeney, an ex-convict who becomes a live-in maid for a wealthy couple with dark secrets. Amanda Seyfried stars as Nina Winchester, the mysterious wife, with Brandon Sklenar playing her husband Andrew. The film’s mix of suspense, twists, and strong performances made it a massive hit, earning over $395 million worldwide, according to box office reports.

Fans won’t have to wait long for more. Lionsgate has greenlit the sequel, The Housemaid’s Secret, which is expected to start filming later in 2026. Sydney Sweeney will return as Millie and also serve as an executive producer alongside Freida McFadden. Director Paul Feig and screenwriter Rebecca Sonnenshine are coming back to continue the story, with industry veteran Kirsten Dunst joining the cast in a new role.

Outside of the Housemaid universe, both actresses are keeping busy. Sweeney continues to produce films through her Fifty-Fifty Films company and remains one of Hollywood’s most sought-after young stars. Seyfried has been praised for her dramatic roles and continues to work with top fashion and jewelry brands.

The chemistry between Sweeney and Seyfried helped make the first film a hit, and their premiere appearances became viral moments on social media. As fans revisit this throwback, excitement for the next chapter of the story is only growing.

With the sequel on the horizon, the Housemaid series looks set to become a major thriller trilogy, combining suspenseful storytelling with high-fashion red carpet moments.
