The press tour for The Devil Wears Prada 2 has officially kicked off, and Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep made their first stop at the Frida Kahlo Museum, La Casa Azul, in Mexico City. The brunch event combined art, fashion, and film, giving fans a first glimpse of the style stakes for the highly anticipated sequel.

Hathaway, who graces the cover of our April 2026 issue, wore a bold black ensemble from Schiaparelli. Her look included a cowboy-style shirt and matching pencil skirt, both adorned with long tubular fringe. The tassels ran along the lapels and cuffs of the top and cascaded down the skirt like an asymmetrical waterfall.

Gold jeweled buttons on the shirt were highlighted by an Eye Bijou Belt from the house. She finished the outfit with long black heels and rimless sunglasses, giving off a dramatic yet polished Western vibe.

Streep embraced her inner Miranda Priestly with a nod to the original film’s iconic imagery. She wore bright-red slingbacks paired with a fully monochromatic outfit: a pussy-bow blouse, single-breasted blazer, and wide-leg pants in matching scarlet. Cranberry-colored cat-eye sunglasses and gold hoop earrings from Fope completed the look, reinforcing her signature powerful style.

The actresses’ outfits set the tone for a press tour that promises to blend high fashion with cinematic glamour. With the movie set to premiere on July 1, fans can expect many more memorable red-carpet moments along the way.

Hathaway and Streep perfectly balanced daring fashion with character flair. Hathaway’s fringed Schiaparelli and Streep’s scarlet ensemble are both bold and memorable, showing they understand how to make a statement while promoting a film about style.
