Megan Thee Stallion Rushed to Hospital After Abrupt ‘Moulin Rouge’ Exit Mid-Show
Megan Thee Stallion was taken to a hospital in New York City after suddenly leaving a live performance of Moulin Rouge! The Musical on Tuesday night.
According to CBS News New York, the rapper exited the show before it finished after she began feeling unwell. A spokesperson later confirmed what happened and gave a short update on her condition.
The statement said, “During Tuesday night’s production, Megan started feeling very ill and was promptly transported to a local hospital, where her symptoms are currently being evaluated. We will share additional updates as more information becomes available.”
Right now, there are no more details about what caused her illness or how serious it is.
The incident comes just days after Megan made her Broadway debut. She recently joined the cast of Moulin Rouge! and took on the role of Zidler. With this, she became the first woman to play that character in the show.
Her run in the musical is expected to continue until May 17, although it is unclear if this situation will affect that schedule.
Moulin Rouge! first opened on Broadway in 2019 and quickly became a major success. The production won several awards, including top honors at the Tony Awards. The show is currently planned to close on July 26, while other versions continue to run in different parts of the world, including Europe, Australia, and Japan.
For now, fans are waiting for more updates on Megan’s health as the situation develops.
