Anne Hathaway Transforms into a Chillingly Divine Figure in First Trailer for A24’s ‘Mother Mary’
Anne Hathaway is kicking off an exciting 2026 with a big movie lineup, and the first look at her new film Mother Mary has fans buzzing.
Directed by David Lowery, who is known for films like The Green Knight and A Ghost Story, Mother Mary is a surrealistic psychological horror with musical elements. Hathaway plays Mary, a struggling musician who reconnects with an old friend and fashion designer named Sam, played by Emmy winner Michaela Coel.

The film opens in New York and Los Angeles on April 17, with a nationwide release on April 24.
