Natasha Lyonne is speaking out after a reported incident on a flight from Los Angeles to New York following the Euphoria season 3 premiere. The situation was first reported by Page Six and later followed by comments from Lyonne and other outlets, with different versions of what happened onboard.

According to Page Six, Lyonne was on a red-eye flight when crew members had difficulty getting her attention before takeoff.

Reports claim she did not respond to instructions from flight attendants, including requests to fasten her seatbelt and close her laptop. The situation reportedly led to the aircraft returning to the gate, and she was asked to leave the plane. The delay was said to last more than an hour.

Lyonne later addressed the story on social media platform X. She explained that she had taken a sleep aid before boarding and was trying to rest after a busy schedule. She said she boarded the plane normally and expected to sleep through the flight.

In her post, she wrote, “Thanks for the great reporting, @enews. Indeed, I took a Lunesta once seated, to ensure some shut eye on the Delta One red eye flight to NYC. Boarded seamlessly with just a backpack and sneakers, eager for a nap.”

She added that she had planned to go straight into work commitments after landing. She also commented on the outcome of the flight, saying, “Was looking forward to seeing Drew & an in depth convo, but I guess ICE had other plans & I was detained instead. Sign of the times, I guess.”

She also thanked people who supported her and said she was sorry to other passengers who experienced delays. She noted that she had not previously had any problems with the airline or airport security systems.

Later, a spokesperson from the Department of Homeland Security told TMZ that the claims of immigration or airport security involvement were not accurate. They said, “Neither ICE nor TSA escorted or detained Natasha Lyonne.”

Representatives for the airline did not publicly comment on the situation.

Despite the disruption, Lyonne still arrived in New York shortly after the incident. She attended the premiere of the documentary Lorne, which focuses on Lorne Michaels, the creator of Saturday Night Live.

Her connection to the entertainment world continues to grow, as she has recently been involved in projects linked to the Euphoria universe, though her specific role in the series has not been publicly confirmed.

Lyonne has also been open about her personal struggles in recent months. She previously discussed her recovery journey and past relapse, and has shared updates with fans about her progress and support system.

This story shows how fast confusion can spread when different sources give conflicting versions of events. It also shows how public figures can become part of big headlines even during normal travel situations. What do you think about this incident and the mixed reports around it?
