Adam Sandler, 59, Joined by Jackie and Their Daughters at Rare Red Carpet Outing
Monday night in Los Angeles served as a high-profile family reunion for Adam Sandler as he celebrated the arrival of his latest production, Roommates. The 59-year-old actor maintained his signature relaxed aesthetic on the pink carpet, pairing a red Nike zip-up with khaki trousers.
Alongside him, his wife of over two decades, Jackie, presented a sleek contrast in a fitted black gown, while their teenage daughters, Sadie and Sunny, joined the event to celebrate a major milestone in their own blossoming careers.
The evening was particularly significant for 19-year-old Sadie, who takes on a central role in the Netflix comedy. She portrays Devon, a wide-eyed university freshman whose attempt to befriend a charismatic peer named Celeste—played by Chloe East—devolves into a sharp-witted conflict.
Roommates highlights the sisters’ transition into more substantial roles, following their previous appearance in the 2023 hit You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah. The premiere also saw an assembly of comedy royalty, including Eddie Murphy, who arrived with his wife Paige Butcher and daughter Bella.
Murphy and Sandler shared a moment with Chris Rock, marking a rare public gathering of the genre’s most influential figures. Bella Murphy, following in the family tradition, also appears in the new film as a character named Amber, further cementing the project as a showcase for the next generation of Hollywood talent.
While Sandler’s daughters are becoming regular fixtures on screen, the Roommates cast is bolstered by veteran performers like Natasha Lyonne and Nick Kroll, who portray the parents of Sadie’s character.
Lyonne garnered attention at the event in a sheer black floral ensemble, appearing in high spirits alongside the film’s producer. The project is a continuation of Sandler’s long-standing practice of involving his family in his work through Happy Madison Productions, a trend that has even included his mother, Judy Sandler, in past features.
Adam Sandler remains incredibly active, with Roommates scheduled to stream on Netflix starting April 17. He is currently moving into a more dramatic phase of his career with the upcoming psychological thriller Time Out, directed by Scott Cooper.
The film, an adaptation of a French drama, features Sandler as a man leading a fictional professional life and stars a powerhouse cast including Willem Dafoe and F. Murray Abraham.
Following a massive 2025 that saw the record-breaking release of Happy Gilmore 2, the actor continues to balance massive franchise sequels with intimate, character-driven narratives.
