Here’s The Gift Leonardo DiCaprio Gave Nikki Glaser After Golden Globes Roast

After hosting the Golden Globes twice and doing a standout job both times, Nikki Glaser has really made a name for herself as one of the sharpest celebrity roasters out there.

At the 2026 Golden Globes in January, she didn’t hold back. Big names like George Clooney, Timothée Chalamet, and Sean Penn all became part of her jokes. One of the more talked-about moments was when she joked about Sean Penn and compared him to a “sexy leather handbag,” even throwing in a cocaine joke. The audience loved it, even if some stars might have been a little nervous.

Even though her jokes can be brutal, Nikki says she always tries to keep things friendly behind the scenes. During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, she explained how she handles it after the show.

“After I do it, I always send flowers to everyone that I made fun of that was a good sport about it, which was everyone, just to say thank you, because it is a part of why I’m successful at it,” she said.

She then revealed that only one person actually sent her something back: Leonardo DiCaprio.

At the Globes, Nikki had made a joke about Leo that got a big reaction. She talked about his successful career and then added a line about him achieving all of that before his girlfriend turned 30. She followed it up by joking about how private he is.

“Leo, I’m sorry I made that joke, it’s cheap, I tried not to, but we don’t know anything else about you, man,” she said during the monologue. “There’s, like, nothing else.”

She even joked about digging up an old interview of his. “Open up, I’m serious, I searched… The most in-depth interview you’ve ever given was to Teen Beat magazine in 1991. Is your favorite food still ‘pasta, pasta, and more pasta?’”

That last line turned out to be important.

Speaking to Jimmy Fallon, Nikki explained how she came up with the joke. “There was nothing else to say about him… I was like, ‘Well, that’s kind of funny…this guy doesn’t reveal anything about himself. Let’s find something he’s revealed,’” she said.

Leo clearly took it well. After Nikki sent him flowers, he replied in a very unexpected way.

“He sent me three baskets of pasta as a ‘thank you,’” she said, laughing. “So funny. So good. And part of me was like, ‘Does Leo want to smash?’” As for Sean Penn, she hasn’t heard back yet. But she’s still joking about it. “I’m waiting for a package from Hermes,” she said. “Any day now.”

With her mix of bold jokes and playful follow-ups, it’s clear Nikki is comfortable in the spotlight. And if this year is anything to go by, many people are already looking forward to seeing her back on the Golden Globes stage in 2027.
