Charlie Sheen Gives Update on Where Things Stand With Jon Cryer After ‘Two and a Half Men’ Fallout
Charlie Sheen has spoken about why he has not reconnected with his former co-star Jon Cryer since their time on Two and a Half Men ended on a difficult note.
In an interview with PEOPLE published on April 24, Sheen said that even after working on the 2025 documentary aka Charlie Sheen, he still has not spoken to Cryer. Both actors appeared in the project, but it did not lead to any reunion between them.
Sheen explained that he tends to avoid reaching out first. He said he does not want to interrupt people or put pressure on them. At the same time, he admitted he has talked about contacting Cryer but never actually followed through.
He still believes Cryer would likely respond positively if they did speak. He also spoke about him in a respectful way.
“I don’t like to bother people,” Sheen said, adding that he has often said he would reach out but does not act on it. He also said, “Jon’s a lovely man and a very talented guy.”
Sheen also expressed appreciation for Cryer’s involvement in the documentary, along with others from his past who shared their experiences on camera. He said it meant a lot that people were willing to take part instead of refusing to revisit old events.
The relationship between the two actors broke down years ago. After Sheen left the sitcom in 2011, tensions grew publicly. Cryer and Sheen had worked closely together for several seasons, but things changed after the exit.
In past comments, Cryer has said there is no current relationship between them. He has also spoken about hearing positive news about Sheen’s sobriety and said he wishes him well.
Despite the distance, Sheen recently joked that Cryer still seems somewhat distant. He suggested that both of them may have moved on in different ways, even if the past is not fully resolved.
This situation looks like two people who once worked closely together but never fully repaired things after a major fallout. Time has softened the tone, but not rebuilt the connection. What do you think about this kind of long-term distance between former co-stars? Should they try to reconnect, or is it better to leave it as it is? Share your thoughts in the comments.
