‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ Deleted Scene Footage Just Confirmed What Fans Suspected All Along
‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ has already cemented itself as one of the biggest cultural events of the year, and the conversation around it shows no signs of slowing down. The film continues to dominate headlines, and fans are still combing through every scrap of new footage that surfaces online.
Director Destin Daniel Cretton has been candid about the editing process behind the movie. The video shows a wrecked interior set built around a grand staircase, complete with scattered debris, standing water, and a crew member operating a boom mic as a stunt performer moves through the wreckage, suggesting the material was pulled from a larger action sequence that never made the final print.
That lines up with comments Cretton has made about at least one major sequence that got left out entirely. In an interview with Nerdtropolis, the director confirmed that an entire fight scene featuring multiple villains was designed and then ultimately removed from the movie. He explained that the team had “a whole bunch of villains” planned for one giant confrontation and had gone as far as designing several of the characters before the scene was cut, adding that the concepts could resurface in a future installment.
‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ picks up after the events of ‘No Way Home,’ with Peter Parker fighting crime in a world that no longer remembers who he is.
