“Colin From Accounts” is going out on a very strong note. The Australian romantic comedy has reached its final season with another perfect Rotten Tomatoes score, giving the series something very few shows manage to achieve: a 100 percent Tomatometer score for all three seasons.
Season 3 currently sits at 100 percent from 20 critics on Rotten Tomatoes, matching the scores of the first two seasons. The audience response has also been positive, with the final season holding an 87 percent audience score. For a comedy that started as a relatively small Australian series, keeping that level of praise across its entire run is a major achievement.
The show was created by real-life couple Patrick Brammall and Harriet Dyer, who also play its main characters, Gordon and Ashley. The story follows the two strangers after a car accident brings them together, with an injured dog becoming an unexpected part of their lives. What starts as a strange meeting slowly turns into a complicated relationship filled with awkward moments, romance and plenty of comedy.
The final season picks up after the huge cliffhanger at the end of Season 2. Ashley and Gordon have to deal with the fallout from an unresolved marriage proposal while trying to figure out what their relationship should look like. That gives the final episodes a more emotional direction, but the series still keeps the humor and messy situations that made it popular in the first place.
Brammall and Dyer have been closely involved with the show from the beginning. Along with starring in the series, they write and executive produce it, giving them a major role in shaping Gordon and Ashley’s story. The decision to end the series after three seasons may seem surprising considering its growing audience and strong reviews. The show reportedly increased its viewership by around 50 percent compared with its first season, so there was clearly still interest in seeing where the characters would go. Instead of stretching the story out, however, the creators chose to bring it to a close while it was still in a strong position.
“Colin From Accounts” has also built an impressive awards record during its run. The series received a Best International Series nomination at the BAFTA TV Awards and won at the Gotham TV Awards and Australia’s Logie Awards. It also earned 19 combined nominations at the 2024 and 2025 AACTA Awards, giving the comedy plenty of recognition beyond its Rotten Tomatoes success.
The show’s journey is another reason its final season feels significant. It first premiered on Binge and Foxtel in Australia in December 2022, with all eight episodes released at once. It later expanded to international audiences, including viewers in the UK through BBC Two and BBC iPlayer and the US through Paramount+, where it began streaming in November 2023.
That international reach helped turn the series into a quiet success story. It never needed to become the biggest comedy on television to build a loyal audience. Instead, viewers found it through word of mouth and connected with its unusual characters, relationship story and relaxed style. The injured dog at the center of the story also became an important part of what made the series different from a typical romantic comedy.
Now, with Season 3 serving as the final chapter, “Colin From Accounts” leaves behind an unusually strong critical record. Three seasons, three perfect Tomatometer scores and a growing audience make it one of the more consistent comedy runs in recent television.
