Tuppence spots a headless bunny costume fleeing the scene with a trail of blood behind it, and the person wearing it, Bingo, finds Tommy and tells him that someone has been hurt in the cloakroom. While Tommy runs toward the room, Tuppence follows the blood trail herself and finds Tatiana, the wedding guest dressed as the Queen of Hearts, dying on the floor.

Before Tuppence can get help, Tatiana presses a button into her hand and manages only three words, naming Bingo as her killer. With Tuppence’s testimony and everyone else occupied watching the fireworks display, Bingo is quickly arrested as the prime suspect.
