TNT is using an unusual rollout for ‘High Value Target’, with the first two episodes airing together on Sunday, Sept. 13 and the remaining installments arriving on Sunday and Monday nights. The sixth episode lands on Sunday, Sept. 27 at 9 p.m., which puts it just past the midpoint of the eight episode run.

After the sixth episode, the seventh follows on Monday, Sept. 28, and the finale closes out the run on Sunday, Oct. 4. Viewers therefore get a back to back pairing of episodes at the end of the month.

The sixth episode is set to air at 9 p.m. Eastern on TNT, matching the slot used for the rest of the series. That consistency helps, because the schedule itself is anything but conventional.

The Hollywood Reporter praised a few decent midseason episodes and a pointed message, but argued that fictionalization and one dimensional supporting characters often bury what is true. TheWrap singled out Zuaiter as the standout and the interrogation scenes as the strongest material, while finding the early pacing slow, with Saddam captured midway through the third episode.
Aggregate scores reflect that split. Rotten Tomatoes shows a perfect approval rating based on five critic reviews, while Metacritic lands at 53 out of 100 from six critics, which indicates mixed or average reception.
