Prime Video is clearly banking on that same formula once again with its latest literary adaptation.

Prime Video has released the official teaser for ‘Perfect Liars,’ the film adaptation of Alex Mírez’s Wattpad phenomenon, confirming the project will premiere exclusively on the platform on November 20 in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. The brief teaser offers a moody first glimpse into the film’s dark, secretive tone, built around a handwritten note reading “Llamar so atención,” hinting at the intrigue driving the story forward.

The film centers on Jude Derry, a young woman who infiltrates a powerful circle of brothers at an elite university while investigating her own brother’s death. What begins as a quiet mission for answers quickly spirals into a tangled web of lies, power struggles, and unexpected attraction, as she finds herself drawn deeper into the very group she set out to expose.

That premise draws directly from Mírez’s original novel, which has become a genuine Wattpad sensation, amassing more than 140 million reads and cultivating a passionate global fanbase well before any adaptation was announced.

‘Perfect Liars’ is directed by Jesús Colmenar, best known for his work on ‘Money Heist,’ bringing a filmmaker with proven experience in high-tension, twist-driven storytelling to the project. Irene Balmes leads the cast as Jude Derry, joined by Gleb Abrosimov, Pau Simon, and Pablo Scapigliati, portraying the Cash brothers at the center of the story’s central conspiracy.

The film is written by Ángela Armero and produced by Federation Spain alongside WEBTOON Productions, with filming having taken place in Madrid to help capture the elite, secretive university atmosphere central to the story’s setting.

‘Perfect Liars’ won’t have the spotlight entirely to itself when it debuts. The film shares its November 20 release date with a packed slate of other major titles, including ‘The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping,’ ‘I Play Rocky,’ and James Gray’s ‘Paper Tiger,’ setting up a genuinely competitive weekend across both streaming and theatrical releases.
