Now attempting to heal from the trauma while honouring her father’s final wishes, Khanyi finds herself facing fresh threats to both her family and her daughter, Amahle. Tshabalala’s performance has anchored the series since its 2024 debut, and her character remains the emotional core of the Ndlovu family’s ongoing battle.

Netflix’s official listing describes the show as following Khanyi as she returns home to fight for her family’s business empire as it threatens to collapse under corruption. That thread carries directly into the new season’s stakes.

Buyile Mdladla

Buyile Mdladla reprises his role as Mandla Ndlovu, a character whose choices grow more complicated this season. While the Ndlovu family attempts to protect its business empire, Mandla finds himself pulled deeper into the world of political corruption.

His association with Minister Titus, played by Ruben Naidoo, threatens to complicate the family’s already fractured relationships and places Mandla on a dangerous path. That dynamic positions Mandla as one of the season’s more morally conflicted figures.

Mdladla’s return keeps one of the show’s central family tensions intact, as Mandla’s political entanglements ripple outward toward the rest of the Ndlovu household.

Mike Ndlangamandla

Mike Ndlangamandla is back as Siya Ndlovu, and his storyline takes an unexpected turn this season. Siya’s journey takes an unexpected turn in Season 2 when he becomes caught up in a forbidden romance, adding another layer of tension to the Ndlovu family’s already complicated situation.

Beyond his on screen role, Ndlangamandla is also part of a notable behind the scenes milestone for the series. Ndlangamandla is part of the talent behind the show’s historic complete isiZulu dub, alongside Dawn Thandeka King and Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa.

Season 2 also makes Netflix history in the region as the first Netflix Original to offer a complete isiZulu dub. That addition marks a significant step for the franchise’s reach among South African audiences.

Thembi Nyandeni

Veteran actress Thembi Nyandeni joins the cast this season as MaNdlovu, stepping into a role left open by the show’s earlier storyline.
