‘Ponies’ Star Emilia Clarke Turns Heads in a Stylish Prada Look at Milan Fashion Week

It has been a busy few weeks for Emilia Clarke, and Prada has been along for most of the ride. The ‘Game of Thrones’ star returned to the Emmy Awards earlier this month, reuniting with ‘House of the Dragon’ star Emma D’Arcy to present Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie. For that appearance, she wore a lilac Prada gown with a cape-style back and symmetrical bows, styled with Boucheron jewelry.

Not every fashion critic was won over by that red carpet moment, with Red Carpet Fashion Awards taking issue with the gown’s tailoring and silk faille fabric. Days later, Clarke headed to Italy for Milan Fashion Week, where Prada presented its Spring/Summer 2027 womenswear collection on September 22 at the Deposito of the Fondazione.

That trip has now produced one of Clarke’s most effortless looks in a while. A fresh photo of the actress shows her beaming at the camera in a light grey Prada zip jacket, dark-framed tinted sunglasses, and her blonde hair pulled back with loose strands framing her face.

The jacket is the same one she wore to the Prada show, where she paired it with a dark structured midi skirt, pointed pumps, and a compact white bag. CelebMafia noted that the jacket’s high collar, long sleeves, and loose drawstring tabs created a striking contrast with the straighter, more tailored skirt. According to WWD’s footwear coverage, her shoes were Prada 85mm satin pumps in black.

Clarke was in good company. Stranger Things stars and Prada ambassadors Sadie Sink and Maya Hawke reunited at the show, while Camila Mendes, Charli D’Amelio, Naomi Watts, Michelle Williams, Uma Thurman, Gabrielle Union, and Alexa Chung also made appearances.

Compared with some of the more polished outfits in the room, Clarke leaned into a more casual approach. That easygoing energy comes through in the new photo, where the sporty jacket and bright smile make the whole look feel natural rather than overly styled.

The fashion moment arrives during a strong stretch for Clarke’s screen career. Her film ‘Next Life’, written and directed by Drake Doremus, premiered at the Tribeca Festival on June 5. She plays Ivy, a woman whose life splits into 2 parallel realities after a moment on a London train, with Édgar Ramírez and Jack Farthing co-starring.

The romance is set against London’s jazz scene, and Clarke gets to show off her voice as a jazz singer. “I’ve never felt that level of joy in a job,” Clarke told Variety, adding that singing jazz when she was younger made the experience “really profound.”

Critics have been kind to her performance, with Deadline’s review praising her presence in the dual role. Vertigo Releasing picked up the film for the U.K. and Ireland ahead of a fall 2026 cinema release, and Ezra Collective’s Femi Koleoso makes his on-screen debut in the cast.

Clarke has plenty more coming too. She is set to play Constance Lloyd, Oscar Wilde’s wife, in ‘An Ideal Wife’, a drama set in the 1880s that explores Constance’s perspective on Wilde’s life.

She will also star opposite Victoria Pedretti and Natascha McElhone in James Ashcroft’s horror film ‘When Darkness Loves Us’. Clarke plays a pregnant young woman trapped in an underground cave system, a very different kind of role from the lighthearted glamour of her Milan appearance.

Between the Emmys, Milan, and a growing slate of projects, the Mother of Dragons clearly has a lot to smile about right now, and this latest Prada photo captures that mood perfectly.
