‘Silo’ Star Rebecca Ferguson Brings Sculpted Gothic Edge to McQueen’s London Homecoming
McQueen’s return to London Fashion Week was one of the most anticipated moments of the Spring/Summer 2027 season, and Rebecca Ferguson was among the stars who showed up dressed for the occasion. On September 20, creative director Seán McGirr brought the label back to the official London schedule for the first time in 25 years, after the house had spent those years showing in Paris.
The homecoming had a suitably dramatic setting. Guests filed into Lincoln’s Inn Chapel, which Interview Magazine described as a spooky subterranean 17th-century chapel, and McGirr’s show notes framed the collection as a celebration of London’s endlessly stimulating and transcendent power.
Ferguson’s look for the evening is now making the rounds online. A photo on X shows the actress in a black McQueen ensemble, posing in front of ivy-covered brick and gothic arched windows with her hair falling in loose, textured waves and a braid woven through one side.
The centerpiece was a leather jacket with a high funnel neckline, pronounced shoulders, and curved panel seams running through the torso, finished with 2 silver-toned fastenings near its cropped hem. CelebMafia noted that the structured shoulders and narrow waist give the upper half a corseted, architectural quality despite the heavy leather.
She paired it with a black mini skirt and sheer black floral lace tights, which added a softer, more organic texture against the smooth leather. Black knee-high boots with squared toes brought the look back to harder, more geometric lines.

Ferguson was in excellent company. The Zoe Report noted that the guest list was led by Emilia Clarke, Florence Welch, and Alexa Chung, while Lila Moss, Georgia May Jagger, Ellie Bamber, Lola Tung, and Sophie Thatcher also turned out.
Emma Corrin and Siouxsie Sioux were in the front row too, according to Interview Magazine. The house later celebrated its return with an after-party at Decimo at The Standard, which drew guests including Russell Tovey, Edward Enninful, and Jade Thirlwall.

McGirr’s collection leaned heavily into McQueen signatures. Interview Magazine highlighted embroidered and tailored blazers, a more wearable convertible pump inspired by the brand’s iconic Armadillo heel, and ornate gowns made with master jeweler Shaun Leane.
WWD reported that McGirr found inspiration in Piero della Francesca’s painting ‘The Baptism of Christ’ and London’s young ravers. Ferguson’s sharply constructed jacket fit right into that mix of tailoring and dark romanticism.
The fashion moment comes during a busy stretch for the Swedish actress. Apple TV recently announced that ‘Silo’, which Ferguson stars in and executive produces, will end with its fourth season, and a sneak peek revealed a July 2027 premiere date for the final chapter.

She’s also heading back to Arrakis. Ferguson returns as Lady Jessica in ‘Dune: Part Three’, the final installment of Denis Villeneuve’s trilogy, with Fandango already selling tickets ahead of its December release.
Her résumé keeps growing on other fronts too. She recently appeared in ‘A House of Dynamite’ and ‘Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man’, and she remains well known for playing MI6 agent Ilsa Faust in 3 ‘Mission: Impossible’ films opposite Tom Cruise.
Few labels suit Ferguson’s elegant intensity quite like McQueen. The combination of strict leather tailoring and delicate lace captured exactly the balance of drama and craftsmanship McGirr aimed for with his London return.
