‘The Housemaid’ Star Sydney Sweeney Bids Summer Farewell With Dreamy Venice Snaps
Summer might be over, but Sydney Sweeney isn’t letting it go quietly. The ‘Euphoria’ star has spent the past few months hopping between glamorous destinations, and her latest Sydney Sweeney Venice photos prove that Italy left quite an impression on her.
Earlier this month, Sweeney attended the Venice Film Festival as a brand ambassador for Armani Beauty, which marked its ninth year as the festival’s official beauty sponsor. She arrived in Italy on September 2 in a khaki Georges Chakra couture look paired with Bermuda shorts, and later stepped out in vintage Chanel from the Spring/Summer 1987 collection.
Now, Sweeney is looking back on the season with a brand-new Instagram carousel. The actress shared 20 photos on Friday, September 25, joking in her caption that spotting pumpkins on a neighbor’s porch meant it was time for one last summer dump.
Among the standout images are a pair of snapshots that take fans straight back to Venice. In one, Sweeney poses for a mirror selfie in a marble bathroom wearing a flowing powder-blue gown with fluttery sleeves, a rosette detail at the hip, and a dramatic high-low hem.
The other captures her cruising the city’s canals in a strapless white dress and dark sunglasses, with classic Venetian buildings stretching out behind her. Together, the 2 shots perfectly capture the dreamy, old-world glamour of her Italian getaway.
The rest of the carousel leans into more laid-back summer vibes. The cover photo shows her greeting a white horse in baggy dark-wash overalls and a white tee, while other slides feature her snorkeling in a daring white one-piece swimsuit and hanging out on a lake with friends.
Sweeney didn’t make the trip alone. She attended the festival with her partner, Scooter Braun, and the couple was spotted sharing plenty of PDA during a gondola ride through the canals and holding hands while exploring the city on foot.
The pair also celebrated her birthday during the star-studded event. “Happy birthday to the woman who is the exception to every rule,” Braun wrote on Instagram, calling her the person who surprised him and showed him what true partnership can look like.
The couple also attended the Armani Beauty dinner at Giardini Reali, where Sweeney turned heads in a shimmering, sheer sequined dress. Her look was even compared to Kendall Jenner’s, who also attended the dinner in a plunging gold Giorgio Armani gown.
The Venice trip capped off one of Sweeney’s busiest stretches yet. She spent the first half of 2026 promoting the third and final season of HBO’s ‘Euphoria’, wrapping up her character’s storyline alongside Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, and Alexa Demie.
She also launched her SYRN clothing line of lingerie and loungewear, and in June she announced her first producing label with collaborator Kaylee McGregor. Clearly, her empire is expanding well beyond acting.
Her upcoming slate is just as packed. ‘The Housemaid’s Secret’, the sequel to her hit thriller ‘The Housemaid’, is set to hit theaters in 2027 with a cast that includes Kirsten Dunst, Brittany Snow, and Paul Anthony Kelly.
She’s also starring in ‘Hollow’, based on Lindsey Anderson Beer’s upcoming novel, with ‘Off Campus’ breakout Belmont Cameli recently joining her in the cast. With so much on the horizon, it’s no wonder Sweeney wanted to savor every last bit of summer before diving back into work.
