‘X-Men’ Star Sadie Sink’s Denim-On-Denim Calvin Klein Look Is the One She Loves Most, and It Shows
Few young stars have had a year quite like Sadie Sink, and her Calvin Klein denim era has become one of the most talked-about chapters of it. The Tony Award-nominated actor, whose breakout role was Max Mayfield in ‘Stranger Things’, has spent the season moving between blockbuster sets and major fashion moments.
Her big-screen profile has grown quickly. She debuted as Jean Grey in this summer’s ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’, and that superhero spotlight arrived right as the fashion world came calling. Calvin Klein unveiled the second chapter of its Fall 2026 “Feel the Fit” campaign starring Sink on September 1, following Tate McRae’s first chapter released in August.
Weeks after launch, the campaign imagery is still circulating. As highlighted by JumpTrailers, Sink appears in a new photo wearing a blue denim set by Calvin Klein, with the jacket and jeans in the same shade. The account noted that the wider jeans give the set a much more casual feel and really change how the look sits on her.
In the shot, she sits on a worn wooden floor against a white wall, pairing the set with pointed black boots and a glimpse of a black bralette beneath the open shirt. The effect is relaxed yet sultry, which suits a campaign whose images are sultry in classic CK fashion while carrying a sense of strength.
It also happens to be her personal pick. Asked which outfit from the campaign she loved most, Sink told W Magazine it was “The dark indigo, denim-on-denim look.” The outlet also paired that answer with the brand’s Denim Trucker Shirt.

The project is built around confidence and fit. Directed by Aidan Zamiri, the campaign follows Sink through everyday scenes wearing key Calvin Klein jeans for Fall 2026, including the 90s Straight Jean in a new wash, the Low Rise Baggy Jean and the High Rise Loose Jean.
“Denim has always been a staple in my wardrobe, so partnering with Calvin Klein on this campaign felt completely natural,” Sink said in the brand’s announcement. The campaign launched globally across Calvin Klein retail, its website and social platforms, as well as high-impact out-of-home placements.
The series also shifts in tone between chapters. McRae’s instalment leaned on her dance background, with her moving through interiors to Deee-Lite’s “Groove Is in the Heart”, while Sink’s chapter focuses on everyday scenarios and personal attitude. Calvin Klein has said a final chapter will follow.
Sink’s casting fits a strategy the brand has leaned on for decades, identifying young stars and positioning them as faces of their moment. Some observers noted that the playful, provocative imagery echoes Brooke Shields’ famous 1980 ads and taps into the same sex-sells formula recently used by Sydney Sweeney.

That approach has generated conversation beyond the clothes. The campaign sparked a viral debate after social media users compared it with Calvin Klein’s more openly inclusive campaigns from the late 2010s and early 2020s.
Still, the attention hasn’t hurt the rollout. DiscussingFilm’s post sharing Sink’s commercial, which introduced her as the Jean Grey star, racked up 4.8M views. The momentum comes as parent company PVH continues to push growth, having generated $8.95 billion in revenue in 2025, up 3%.
Part of the appeal is how effortless the denim set feels next to the campaign’s sleeker moments. W described Sink’s images as sultry but grounded in strength, and the wide-leg, same-wash styling captures exactly that balance.
For an actor currently juggling ‘Stranger Things’ fame and a new future as Jean Grey, the campaign offers something refreshingly simple: a great pair of jeans and the confidence to own them.
