‘Man of Tomorrow’ Star Adria Arjona Brings Sleek All-Black Power to Max Mara’s Milan Show
Few stars have owned this Milan Fashion Week quite like Adria Arjona, and her Max Mara appearance may be the most meaningful moment of her Italian stay. The actress has been everywhere this season, and her growing fashion profile is now matching her rising stature in Hollywood.
Her trip to Milan has been a busy one. Arjona walked in Vogue World: Milano, which took place inside the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II alongside Jennifer Lopez, Dakota Johnson, Naomi Campbell and Cardi B. She and Jason Momoa were also spotted holding hands while shopping at designer stores on September 24.
The Max Mara show carried extra weight for the actress. A new clip shared online shows her arriving for the brand in a sharp oversized black blazer layered over a black bralette, moving confidently through a crowd of guests. The 10-second video offers a closer look at the ensemble, which pairs classic tailoring with a more modern edge.
Photos Arjona shared on Instagram showed her in a black blazer with a matching skirt and a bralette underneath, a look that feels both sharp and relaxed. She also brought a special guest, as fans spotted her with her mother, Leslie Torres, at the show.
Her presence wasn’t just about style. Arjona was named the 21st recipient of the annual WIF Max Mara Face of the Future Award, and she attended the Max Mara spring 2027 show in Milan on Thursday morning. She will formally receive the honor during the 2026 WIF Honors on November 5.
The brand made its enthusiasm clear. “We are thrilled to name Adria Arjona the 2026 WIF Max Mara Face of the Future. Adria truly embodies the spirit of Max Mara with her commanding talent, effortless style and fearless choices on screen,” Maria Giulia Prezioso Maramotti, granddaughter of founder Achille Maramotti and a Max Mara Fashion Group board member, told WWD.
Women In Film’s leadership echoed that sentiment. CEO Kirsten Schaffer noted that over 2 decades, the award has spotlighted the industry’s brightest rising stars for both their talent and their spirit in creating opportunities for all women.
The show itself leaned into adventurous elegance. The mood board drew on globe-trotting figures like Amelia Earhart, Beryl Markham, Freya Stark and Osa Johnson, whose 1930s spirit showed up in pin curls, glacier glasses and jaunty Bermudas.

WWD described it as a smooth, confident outing free of gimmicks and obvious trends, noting there was only one visible bra on the runway despite it being the season’s most ubiquitous top in Milan. Standout pieces included meaty linens, lustrous gabardines and slinky knit dresses, along with a flight suit and cargo pants in black organza.

Arjona’s bralette-and-blazer combination felt right at home in that world. It captured the same balance of polish and subtle heat the collection was built around. She had plenty of famous company. The Max Mara front row also featured Kate Mara, Leighton Meester, Kelly Rutherford, Chiara Ferragni and Paz Vega, among others.

The fashion honor lands during a major stretch for the ‘Hit Man’ star. Arjona and Momoa have joined Miles Teller in John Swab’s thriller ‘Copperhead’, alongside Tenoch Huerta and Kiefer Sutherland, reuniting the couple after 2021’s ‘Sweet Girl’.
