‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Location Posters Give Fans a Tour of Every Base Doctor Doom Is Coming For
Marvel Studios has spent months turning the ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ campaign into a slow-burn event, with a steady stream of teasers, posters, and display art. Most of that marketing has kept the spotlight firmly on Robert Downey Jr.’s villain. Now, a new set of ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ location posters is shifting attention to the places the heroes call home.
The film is shaping up to be Marvel’s most crowded crossover yet. The cast is headlined by Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom, alongside Avengers stars including Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Paul Rudd, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, and Simu Liu, while Fox’s ‘X-Men’ veterans such as Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, James Marsden, Kelsey Grammer, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romijn, and Channing Tatum are crossing over as well.
With that many heroes in play, it makes sense that their headquarters would get a moment of their own. On October 1, fan accounts DiscussingFilm and Cosmic Marvel shared photos of 4 posters, crediting the images to the account @I_Am_Not_Doom. Together, they showcase Avengers Headquarters, the X-Mansion, the Baxter Building, and Wakanda.
Each design shares a striking visual style. The locations are framed by bold, angular shapes and bathed in eerie green light, the same color that has dominated Doom’s marketing throughout the campaign. One poster shows a sprawling Wakandan city through the outline of a Black Panther mask, while another features a tower marked with the Fantastic Four’s “4” emblem.
The X-Mansion poster captures the stone facade of Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters under a stormy sky. The Avengers HQ design shows the team’s familiar logo on a sleek modern building, framed by the same jagged green geometry.

Eagle-eyed fans quickly pointed out that the artwork isn’t entirely new. One user replying to Cosmic Marvel noted that the same designs were displayed at the Shanghai Expo in July. Back then, a ‘Doomsday’ booth at the convention highlighted the same 4 locations as major settings in the film.
That Shanghai event also went further. Marvel recreated sets from the film for the July 11 expo, including Doom’s throne room and the X-Mansion, alongside logos for the Avengers, Fantastic Four, and Black Panther.

The X-Mansion may be the most exciting inclusion for longtime fans. It was a key location in Fox’s ‘X-Men’ films, and its presence in the marketing is another sign that the legacy mutants will have a substantial role. Footage shown at CinemaCon reportedly opened with Professor X watching a rift of energy from a mansion in ruins.
The Baxter Building, introduced in ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’, is also set for a bigger role. Kevin Feige has said its set would hold far more people than the handful it housed in the standalone film. The CinemaCon footage reportedly also showed Sam Wilson’s Captain America meeting the Fantastic Four at Avengers Tower.
Wakanda looks primed for conflict, too. The full trailer teased a new clash between Wakanda and Namor’s underwater kingdom, while earlier footage reportedly showed Namor and the Thing working alongside Wakandan tribes.

In theaters December 18 pic.twitter.com/1wsiTk1Nnv
Reactions online have been overwhelmingly excited. One fan wrote that seeing the X-Mansion and Avengers HQ in the same movie still felt unreal, adding that ‘Doomsday’ is about to make the MCU feel huge again. Another simply wondered how Marvel managed to rebuild the mansion.
The posters also tie neatly into what Doom’s threat looks like on screen. In the Comic-Con footage, the villain resurrects an army of Sentinels, suggesting none of these safe havens will stay safe for long.
With ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ arriving in theaters on December 18, Marvel’s campaign is clearly entering its final stretch. More trailers, posters, and possibly additional location art could soon shed light on how the multiverse conflict unfolds. For now, these 4 posters offer a clear message: every major team is involved, and every base is in Doom’s crosshairs.
