‘Baywatch’ Star Livvy Dunne Rings in Her Birthday With a Sun-Soaked Bahamas Getaway Alongside Paul Skenes
Livvy Dunne has never been shy about making her birthday a social media event. Every October 1, fans have come to expect a fresh round of celebratory posts from the former LSU gymnast. This year, Livvy Dunne’s 24th birthday took her far from campus and straight to the beach.
Dunne was born on October 1, 2002, in Westwood, New Jersey. She began gymnastics training in 2005, made her elite debut in 2014, and joined the LSU Tigers in 2020, eventually becoming one of the most recognizable names in college sports and helping the team win a national championship.
To mark the occasion, Dunne jetted off on a private flight to the Bahamas, where she was joined by her boyfriend, Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes. Before landing, she was spotted on the plane holding a champagne bottle wrapped in colorful artwork featuring the number 24, in a moment originally shared by her friend Hayden Sample.
Once at the villa, Dunne shared a set of poolside photos on Instagram. Showing her in a light blue bikini with white details, sipping an orange drink with an infinity pool and turquoise water behind her. The finishing touch was festive. She wore a thin silver rhinestone tiara headband reading “Birthday Girl,” and playfully captioned the post by joking that she’s already washed up at 24.
The getaway was a couple’s affair. Another photo from the trip showed Dunne being held by Skenes by the pool, and she described the vacation on her Instagram Stories as a birthday bender. Skenes also marked the day with his own Instagram post, sharing 4 pictures of Dunne with a heartfelt birthday message.
The pair first crossed paths at LSU, where she competed in gymnastics, and he pitched for the baseball team. Several of Skenes’ Pirates teammates’ partners chimed in with birthday wishes in the comments, as did Olivia Ponton, girlfriend of Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow.
Dunne’s birthday posts have become a tradition in their own right. For her 22nd, she celebrated with cake and sparkling cider in bed while wearing a floral nightgown and tiara, sharing the moment with her and Skenes’ dog, Roux. That year, she also nodded to Taylor Swift’s ’22’ in her post.
Last year, she marked turning 23 with a glamorous night out in New York City alongside Skenes. She wore a shimmering gold corset and mini skirt set, captioning the post with a playful martini pun.
Her 24th year looks set to be one of her busiest yet. Dunne is preparing for her professional acting debut in Fox’s ‘Baywatch’ reboot, where she plays Grace, a highly enthusiastic junior lifeguard. As the premiere gets closer, fans can likely expect plenty of press appearances and promotional moments.
She continues to build on the foundation she created at LSU, from her national title to her pioneering NIL work. With acting now in the mix, the next chapter of her career is only just getting started.
