Few stars are as closely tied to early-2000s pop culture as Jessica Alba, so it makes sense that she’d be on the guest list when Paris Hilton threw a Y2K-themed end-of-summer party. The ‘Honey’ and ‘Sin City’ star has long been a style favorite, but this time she had a little help putting her look together.

Fashion has become something of a family affair for Alba lately. Earlier this year, she took her daughter Haven on a 48-hour trip to Milan Fashion Week, where the pair posed ahead of Fendi’s fall 2026 show, and more recently she twinned with her eldest daughter Honor in matching black looks for a night out.

Now the roles have officially reversed. Alba revealed on Instagram that her 15-year-old daughter Haven stepped in before the party, rejected the outfit she had originally planned to wear, and pulled pieces from her own closet to dress her mom for the Y2K bash.

The 45-year-old actress shared the before-and-after moment in a playful Instagram post, thanking Haven for the last-minute styling rescue. The final look leaned fully into the era, with a beige tank top dotted with gray stars and a miniskirt that sat low on the hips, exactly the way it would have in the early 2000s.

Alba layered on stacked necklaces, a chunky gold bangle, and statement earrings, finishing the outfit with brown knee-high boots. She wore her brown-blonde hair half-up, half-down, a styling choice that completed the nostalgic vibe.

The outfit is also a fun reversal of the usual dynamic at home. Alba has previously joked to People that Honor and Haven are the ones who usually raid her closet before heading out, and that she wishes they’d pay for the privilege given how often they borrow her clothes.

Alba didn’t hit the party alone. In a separate Instagram carousel, she shared a selfie from the event with actress Keke Palmer and Kelly Sawyer, the co-CEO of Baby2Baby, playfully signing off her caption with a nod to Hilton’s famous catchphrase.

It’s not the first time Alba and Hilton have gone all-in on early-2000s nostalgia together. The pair previously paid tribute to Britney Spears at the Casamigos Halloween party, with Hilton wearing the flight attendant look from the ‘Toxic’ music video and Alba recreating the sparkling bodysuit Spears wears later in the same video.

Given Hilton’s own reputation as the face of Y2K party style, a themed bash at her invitation was always going to draw some memorable looks. Alba’s daughter-approved outfit fit right in.

The comment section quickly filled up with compliments. One fan wrote, “Wow, she looks almost the same as she did 20 years ago, real Y2K legend,” while another asked, “How does she not age???!!!”

Others chimed in with lines like “40s never looked so good” and “Aging backwards,” and even Honor got in on the fun with a joking comment crediting the outfit to her sister’s closet. It’s clear the post struck a chord with longtime fans who grew up with Alba’s movies.

The moment also offers a sweet glimpse into Alba’s family life. She shares Honor, Haven, and son Hayes with ex-husband Cash Warren, from whom she split in January 2025, and her social media has increasingly become a showcase for her close bond with her kids.

Between Milan trips, matching outfits, and now a full Y2K makeover courtesy of Haven, it seems Alba has found her most trusted stylists right at home. And judging by the reaction, fans would happily see Haven take over styling duties for good.

What do you think of Jessica Alba’s Y2K look styled by her daughter?
