‘Off Campus’ Star Mika Abdalla Keeps Her Fashion Moment Going in Dazzling New Photo
It’s been quite a year for Mika Abdalla. The actress went from a familiar face to one of Prime Video’s breakout stars thanks to ‘Off Campus’, and over the past week she has taken that newfound spotlight all the way to Paris Fashion Week.
The romance series, based on Elle Kennedy’s bestselling Off-Campus books, premiered on May 13 and quickly became a massive hit. It drew 36 million viewers worldwide in its first 12 days, making it the third most-watched series launch in Prime Video’s history, and Abdalla’s Allie Hayes quickly became a fan favorite.
Now Abdalla is giving fans another reason to talk about her. A new photo of the actress shared on social media shows her posing on a sunlit balcony in a matching black set covered in shimmering silver embellishments, a bold, glamorous look that sets it apart from her recent appearances.
The outfit pairs a strappy camisole with a long matching skirt, both decorated with rows of metallic studs that catch the light. Abdalla kept the rest of the look relaxed, wearing her long dark hair loose and tousled.
The setting adds to the charm. With trees, blue sky, and an ornate balcony railing behind her, the photo has a casual, off-duty feel that balances the statement-making outfit. It’s a noticeable change of pace from what she wore just days earlier. While her runway debut was all about quiet elegance, this latest look leans into sparkle and texture.
That runway moment was a big one. On September 28, Abdalla made her Paris Fashion Week debut by walking in L’Oréal Paris Le Défilé, the brand’s ninth edition of the show, held under the theme “Express Your Worth.”
The event is unlike most runway shows. It turns Place Joffre into an open-air stage between the Eiffel Tower and the École Militaire, and it’s open to the public and livestreamed worldwide.
Abdalla shared the runway with a star-studded lineup that included Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Kendall Jenner, Eva Longoria, Viola Davis, Cara Delevingne and Simone Ashley. Céline Dion also made a surprise appearance to close the show.
For the occasion, she chose understated glamour in a floor-length ivory satin gown with a strapless bandeau neckline and a sleek column silhouette. She kept accessories minimal with dainty earrings, a few statement rings, and metallic silver heels, and L’Oréal Paris USA highlighted her look by sharing a video of her runway walk on X.
The timing couldn’t be better for Abdalla. Prime Video renewed ‘Off Campus’ for a second season in February, before the show even premiered, and later confirmed that the new season will focus on Allie and Stephen Kalyn’s Dean Di Laurentis.
That means the series is skipping ahead in Kennedy’s book order. While season 1 adapted the first novel, ‘The Deal’, season 2 will be based on ‘The Score’, the third book in the series, rather than ‘The Mistake’, which centers on John Logan and Grace.
Fans have plenty to look forward to. Abdalla and Ella Bright have teased that season 2 will include a big pop star moment similar to season 1’s standout use of J.Lo’s “On The Floor.” Prime Video hasn’t announced an official premiere date yet. Since season 1 filmed from June to October 2025 before premiering the following May, many fans expect season 2 to arrive around April or May 2027.
Before ‘Off Campus’, Abdalla was best known for Netflix’s ‘Project Mc²’, which ran from 2015 to 2017. Now, with a Paris runway debut behind her and a leading role on the way, she’s clearly stepping into a much bigger spotlight.
