‘X-Men’ Star Samara Weaving Turns Up the Drama in Lace Bustier and Tailored Trousers in Newly Shared Photos
Samara Weaving has had one of the busiest and most eventful years of her career. The Australian actress premiered not one but 2 horror films at SXSW, ‘Ready or Not 2: Here I Come’ and ‘Over Your Dead Body’, while also welcoming her first child, a baby girl, with husband Jimmy Warden earlier this year.
Her public appearances have since become rare, which is why fans have been paying extra attention to her recent trip to Paris. On October 4, she attended Valentino’s “Antibiblioteca” Spring/Summer 2027 show in an electric-blue top emblazoned with the words “Villain Teen,” a playful nod for an actress known as a modern scream queen.
Now Weaving is serving another striking look. Newly shared photos show the actress posing in a moody, dimly lit room, and fans are once again praising her style. In the images, Weaving poses beside a mirror, creating a stylish double effect as her reflection appears next to her. The warm, golden lighting gives the shots a cinematic, editorial feel.
She wears a black lace bustier-style top with delicate sheer detailing, tucked into high-waisted charcoal trousers. A sleek black belt with a gold buckle cinches the look at the waist.
Her blonde hair falls in loose, voluminous waves around her shoulders. In one shot, she raises her hand playfully toward the camera, adding a touch of fun to the otherwise sultry styling.
The outfit shares some DNA with her Paris Fashion Week appearance. For the Valentino show, she also paired a statement top with slouchy charcoal trousers and a glossy black Valentino belt, then added hot-pink Rockstud pumps for a bold pop of color.
That earlier look was styled by Jordan Dorso and finished with a black quilted bag covered in tiny floral embellishments and oversized sunglasses. ELLE even followed Weaving behind the scenes as she got ready for the show.
Weaving became widely recognized for her horror roles, especially as Grace in 2019’s ‘Ready or Not’ and its sequel. She has since built a reputation for taking unexpected turns in her work.
She recently told Coveteur that tackling something unfamiliar is what keeps her work interesting. Her fashion choices seem to follow the same philosophy, moving easily between playful, colorful pieces and darker, more dramatic looks.
Fans have also been connecting her recent appearances to a high-profile upcoming role. Weaving has been cast as Emma Frost in the ‘X-Men’ reboot, and many have said her Paris photos look perfectly suited to the iconic telepath.
Fan art imagining Weaving as Emma Frost has been circulating online. For many fans, the moody glamour of these new photos only adds to the excitement. Born in 1992, Weaving comes from a creative family. Her uncle is actor Hugo Weaving, and her younger sister, Morgan, is also an actress.
She made her screen debut in 2008 and has since worked across television and film. Her husband, Warden, also directed her in the 2025 film ‘Borderline’. Fans responded warmly to the new photos, praising the mix of lace and sharp tailoring.
Many said the look perfectly balanced softness and edge. Others noted how confidently she has returned to the spotlight this season. Between Paris Fashion Week and these new images, Weaving is clearly enjoying a stylish new chapter.
