‘X-Men’ Star Samara Weaving Gives Fans a Playful Behind-The-Scenes Glimpse in New Video
Samara Weaving has had one of the busiest years of her career. The Australian actress returned to her iconic role of Grace in ‘Ready or Not 2: Here I Come’, which turned a modest $14 million budget into more than $40 million worldwide.
She also starred opposite Jason Segel in the bloody action comedy ‘Over Your Dead Body’, which later became the most-watched title on AMC+ in the U.S. On top of that, Weaving and her husband, writer-director Jimmy Warden, welcomed their first baby earlier this year.
Now, Weaving has given fans a more relaxed look at her life away from the big screen. A newly shared video, credited to Ian Cosgrove, shows the actress in what appears to be a dressing area, with a garment steamer and wooden cabinets visible in the background.
In the short clip, Weaving sits casually on the carpeted floor and glances back over her shoulder toward the camera with a playful smile. She wears a black satin camisole paired with loose grey wide-leg trousers.

Her long blonde hair falls in soft, tousled waves around her shoulders. The laid-back moment offers a sweet contrast to the blood-soaked roles she has become known for. The video arrives shortly after Weaving was spotted enjoying a night out in London. She was photographed heading to dinner with her husband, Olivia Wilde, and a group of friends.
For that outing, she wore a long black leather coat with a fur-trimmed collar over a striped top, paired with black wide-leg trousers and a bright yellow handbag. The chic look drew plenty of praise from fans online.
Weaving’s career is about to reach an even bigger stage. She has been cast as Emma Frost in Marvel’s upcoming ‘X-Men’ reboot, directed by Jake Schreier. The film is set for May 2028 and features an impressive ensemble. Sadie Sink plays Jean Grey, Kit Connor plays Scott Summers, Christopher Abbott plays Professor X, and Maya Boyd plays Storm, with Adam Driver as Mister Sinister and Inde Navarrette as Rogue.
Weaving first broke through on Australian television, starring in ‘Out of the Blue’ and playing Indi Walker in ‘Home and Away’ for more than 300 episodes. She made her film debut in 2013’s ‘Mystery Road’ alongside her uncle, Hugo Weaving.
She later earned a reputation as a modern scream queen thanks to ‘Ready or Not’, ‘The Babysitter’, ‘Mayhem’ and ‘Scream VI’. Her résumé also includes ‘Bill & Ted Face the Music’, ‘Babylon’ and ‘Snake Eyes’.
In 2025, she starred in her husband’s directorial debut, ‘Borderline’, as well as the thriller ‘Eenie Meanie’. Her drama ‘Carolina Caroline’ holds a perfect 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes, making it the highest-rated film of her career.
Weaving and Warden first met in 2015 on the set of ‘The Babysitter’, where she played the lead role of Bee. They kept their relationship private for years before marrying quietly in July 2022.
The couple has spoken about the importance of not spending too long apart when work takes them in different directions. That balance seems more important than ever as Weaving juggles a growing family and a booming career.
Weaving’s social media moments regularly delight fans, and this latest clip is no exception. Her playful energy offers a glimpse of the personality behind her intense on-screen performances.
With Marvel on the horizon and a string of successful projects behind her, Weaving’s star continues to rise. For now, fans are clearly enjoying these more personal glimpses into her world.
