Brooks Nader has been preparing for this moment for a while. The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model, who appeared on the publication’s 2023 cover in a red swimsuit reminiscent of the original ‘Baywatch’ look, teased her casting in Fox’s reboot earlier this year with an Instagram Story showing her holding a script.

Nader plays Selene, a captain of the Zuma Beach lifeguards, in the new series led by Stephen Amell. Filming kicked off in March at Venice Beach, where she and her co-stars were photographed in the franchise’s famous red swimsuits.

Now, Nader has brought that signature color to the South of France. On October 12, she attended FOX’s ‘Baywatch’ photocall at MIPCOM 2026, held at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes.

The star leaned fully into the show’s iconic theme, wearing a vivid red bandage maxi dress. The figure-hugging gown featured a V-neckline, cap sleeves, and a horizontal banded texture.

She styled her blonde hair in loose, voluminous waves and completed the look with black heels and sparkly stud earrings. Posing in front of a blue MIPCOM backdrop with views of the harbor, Nader was all smiles as she showed off the dress.

Amell joined Nader at the photocall, wearing a white blazer over black. The actor plays Hobie Buchannon, the son of the original series’ legendary lifeguard Mitch. The pair traveled to Cannes to promote the reboot to international buyers at the television market. Their appearance came on the same day Italy’s Rai 2 acquired second-window rights to the series.

The Rai deal adds to a growing list of international partners. Prime Video holds first-window rights across Italy, Germany, France, Spain, Portugal, Benelux, Switzerland, Austria, Turkey, Canada, Latin America and India.

Sky has picked up the series for the UK and Ireland, while Stan will carry it in Australia. Fremantle is handling international sales, while Fox Entertainment Global holds domestic distribution rights.

Alongside Amell and Nader, the reboot stars Jessica Belkin, Shay Mitchell, Hassie Harrison, Thaddeus LaGrone, Noah Beck and Livvy Dunne. Original ‘Baywatch’ stars Erika Eleniak and David Chokachi are also returning.

The 12-episode series is co-produced by Fox Entertainment and Fremantle, with Matt Nix serving as showrunner. McG directed the premiere episode. Nader has spoken about her upbringing in connection with the role. She has revealed that her conservative parents once banned two-piece bikinis, but said her ‘Baywatch’ swimsuit has earned the family’s approval.

Fans may also know her from the reality series ‘Love Thy Nader’, which follows her and her sisters. Her ‘Baywatch’ role marks a major step in her acting career. The ‘Baywatch’ reboot is set to premiere on Fox in January 2027.

With deals stacking up around the world, the series is shaping up to be one of next year’s biggest international TV launches. Judging by her Cannes appearance, Nader is fully embracing her role as one of the faces of the new ‘Baywatch’. Her red-hot look certainly made a splash.
