‘Love in Disguise’ is scheduled to premiere on October 19 on tvN and will also stream on Amazon Prime Video. The romance thriller centers on an arrogant chaebol heir who becomes a murder suspect and a former special forces officer who goes undercover as his personal secretary to investigate him.

For viewers outside Korea, ‘Love in Disguise’ arrives with an unusually wide footprint. Prime Video announced the series on September 4, and it premieres in more than 240 countries and territories. The setup blends courtroom-style suspicion with workplace comedy, and the early promotional material suggests the show plans to balance both.

Love in Disguise Release Date and Where to Watch

The series will air every Monday and Tuesday at 8.50 p.m. Korean time. Streaming is set to begin at the same moment as the Korean broadcast. That simultaneous release means international audiences will not have to wait for episodes to trickle out after the fact.

Amazon MGM Studios lists availability as worldwide, excluding mainland China and South Korea. In the United States, the show will stream on Prime Video.

Love in Disguise Plot and Source Material

Yoon Yi Jun is named the prime suspect in a murder committed inside the company, after which he withdraws to his residence and hires a new personal secretary. That hire turns out to be the investigator assigned to watch him.

Furious at his arrogant attitude, Jae Hee spots a job posting for a personal secretary open exclusively to men and decides to turn the way people often mistake her for a man to her advantage. The disguise gives her close access, though it also places her in daily contact with the man she is supposed to be investigating.

The series is based on the web novel ‘Why Don’t You Know It’s a Girl?’, which has accumulated more than 8.15 million views. The story also exists as a webtoon. That built-in readership gives the adaptation an audience that already knows the premise.

According to the official synopsis, the closer Yi Jun and Jae Hee get to what really happened, the closer they become, with Jae Hee hiding her identity and Yi Jun hiding a secret.

Love in Disguise Trailer and Teasers

tvN released the first poster on September 14, showing the two leads handcuffed together in close-up. A new trailer followed in late September, with Brazilian outlet Omelete describing it as a lighter take on the premise.

One teaser opens with Yi Jun standing in front of an unconscious woman in a cabinet, then shows him asking police whether they really believe he killed anyone. It ends with him turning the tables and demanding to know who Jae Hee really is. That moment hints that the heir is not as oblivious as the disguise requires him to be.

A separate teaser shows Jae Hee handcuffing Yi Jun, who responds by cuffing her other hand to his and accusing her of the crime of making his heart race. Another has him begin a confession only for her to cut him off. With a murder case driving the plot and a secret identity complicating every scene, do you think Yi Jun will see through Jae Hee’s disguise before the investigation reaches its answer?
