The fourth episode of the new season of ‘9-1-1: Nashville’ is titled “In Cold Blood” and is scheduled to air on ABC on Thursday, November 5. Episode guides list that title and date for the hour. It follows the third episode, “Let There Be Darkness,” which carries an October 29 airdate.

This guide covers the release date, air time and streaming options for the next ‘9-1-1: Nashville’ episode, along with what the story has set up so far. The series was created by Ryan Murphy, Tim Minear and Rashad Raisani and follows first responders at Nashville Fire Department Station 113.

Release Date and Remaining Schedule

The fourth episode, “In Cold Blood,” is listed for a premiere date of November 5. The fifth episode, “Ding-Dong-Ditch,” follows on November 12, and the sixth arrives on November 19.

Some episode information currently comes from third-party databases rather than ABC. That is worth keeping in mind for titles and dates beyond the episodes already broadcast.

ABC has not confirmed the release dates for every episode, so the schedule beyond the initial installments remains subject to updates. The season is expected to run through at least mid-November.

Air Time on ABC

The series airs Thursday evenings at 9 p.m. Eastern and Pacific, which is 8 p.m. Central, after the original ‘9-1-1.’ The fourth episode is expected to hold that same slot.

The lineup places the show directly between the tenth season of ‘9-1-1’ at 8 p.m. Eastern and the twenty-third season of ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ at 10 p.m. That makes it the middle hour of a three-part Thursday block.

The second season premiered on October 15 at 9/8c on ABC, following the original ‘9-1-1.’

Where to Watch Online

Viewers can catch the episode live on ABC. Cord-cutters can access the network broadcast through live-streaming services that carry local ABC stations, including Hulu + Live TV, YouTube TV and Fubo.

For those who prefer to wait, every episode of the second season will stream on Hulu the day after it airs on ABC. That means the fourth episode should be available on Hulu on Friday, November 6.

Outside the United States the picture varies. In Canada, the show airs on CTV every Thursday. In the United Kingdom, the series streams on Disney Plus, though no release date had been set for the second season.

Preview of the Fourth Episode of ‘9-1-1: Nashville’

The title “In Cold Blood” is the main detail attached to the fourth episode in the guides reviewed for this piece. The story it picks up from is easier to describe. In the third episode, a blinding agent strikes Nashville during a pollen storm, leaving Blythe and others critically ill, while Sam and Roxie perform an emergency heart transplant and Blythe discovers Sam’s secret.

That third episode also keeps the season’s larger mystery moving. Newcomer Detective Rogue Kelly is investigating a series of ominous crimes of biblical proportions. Raisani has said that Rogue starts to sense there is some kind of method to the crimes. Ryan Phillippe was cast in the season to play the detective.

The family storylines are carrying just as much weight. The series boss told TV Insider that the new season picks up three weeks after the first season finale fight between Blythe and Dixie. Sam, meanwhile, decided to wait until her baby is born to treat herself after receiving difficult news in that finale.

With Blythe now aware of Sam’s secret and a methodical criminal still at large, we would like to hear in the comments whether you think “In Cold Blood” will follow the fallout inside the Hart family or hand the hour over to Rogue’s case.
