Marvel’s ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ has been showing up everywhere ahead of its release. The marketing push has already included a Dunkin’ menu, a Major League Baseball promo featuring stars like Bryce Harper and Freddie Freeman, and a wave of merchandise.

WWE also has a history with the Worlds Collide brand. The series started in 2019 as a tournament event, and its most recent edition was co-produced with Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide at Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois, in September.

Now the wrestling giant is joining the Marvel event. WWE and The Walt Disney Company have announced a 2-day takeover of the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex near Orlando, Florida, on December 14 and 15.

The highlight for Marvel fans is the second night. On Tuesday, December 15, WWE will hold ‘Worlds Collide: Avengers: Doomsday Edition’, featuring top talent from WWE, NXT and AAA. The event is timed to the film’s arrival in U.S. theaters on December 18. Promotional art for the takeover features John Cena holding a championship belt under a “Two Day Takeover” banner.

The weekend begins on Monday, December 14, with the first-ever John Cena Classic. The tournament-style event will pit top stars from Raw and SmackDown against rising talent from NXT. Fans will also be able to take part. Members of Club WWE, the company’s fan membership program, can vote in real time to choose the night’s top performer.

The John Cena Classic will stream live on Netflix as a special edition of Monday Night Raw. WWE first announced it during Raw at a sold-out Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The partnership extends beyond the ring. WWE and Fanatics will host WWE World, a 2-day fan event at the ESPN complex with exclusive merchandise, photo opportunities, and autograph sessions with WWE Superstars.

Fans will also be able to buy ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ co-branded products, including title belts. These items will be sold at the event, on WWEShop.com and at select Disney retail stores. For collectors who love both wrestling and Marvel, the themed title belts could be some of the most sought-after items of the season.

Tickets will be sold as 2-day combo passes. A general presale starts on Thursday, November 12, at 10 a.m. ET, followed by the general on-sale on Friday, November 13, at 10 a.m. ET through Ticketmaster.

Fans can register for updates through WWE’s website. WWE and Disney say more details about the events and fan experiences will be shared in the coming weeks. The collaboration builds on a relationship between WWE and Disney that began in 2025. That year, the ESPN App became the exclusive domestic home of WWE Premium Live Events for ESPN Unlimited subscribers.

Bringing Marvel into the mix gives Disney another way to promote one of its biggest films. It also gives WWE a high-profile showcase just days before the movie hits theaters. ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ brings the Avengers, the Fantastic Four, the Wakandans and the X-Men together against Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom. Joe and Anthony Russo direct the film.

With wrestlers, superheroes, and championship gold all in one place, the December event could be one of the more unusual crossovers of the year. Fans will have to wait to see how much Marvel flair ends up inside the ring.
