Adidas and ‘Minecraft’ Collaboration Introduces In-Game and IRL Content and Merchandise

As a game that endorses creativity, Minecraft has provided us with a lot of brilliant moments in which players from all around the world (re)created moments from other popular media franchises and/or brands.
But, at times, the game also provides us with actual collaborations that introduce various new content, and one such collaboration is here, and it features a major sports brand.
Namely, Adidas and Minecraft have launched a major collaboration campaign that will bring both in-game content, as well as interesting IRL merchandise that fans will surely love. And, of course, we have the details.
We assume that you’re more interested in the in-game content at this point, so we are going to reveal the details here. The game’s add-on will be free, and it will introduce three new characters – The Coach, The Mascot, and the Teammate.
The Coach will help you locate ore blocks by highlighting them or teleporting them directly to you. The Mascot will be the gatherer, collecting crops or items for you. Finally, the Teammate will be by your side to help you fight mobs, as expected.
Aside from helping you, the Coach will also provide access to a quest list containing milestones like the distance you’ve run, swum, or amount of mobs defeated, which is why he is going to be so important.
After completing each milestone, the player will receive a special Adidas Lootbox. The blue lootboxes will contain Minecraft content, while the gold ones will provide new in-game content related to Adidas, like an armour with special designs, which the players will also be able to enhance, and add special powers like water breathing, damage reflection, super jump, and more.
The add-on will be available for free on the Marketplace, but if you want to access it, you’ll need to have Minecraft: Bedrock Edition and access to the internet.
As for the IRL content, Adidas has released a set of special T-shirts, shorts, tracksuits, and sneakers in sizes for kids and teens inspired by the game, examples of which you can check out here:
