Adria Arjona has built a steady career across both big studio projects and smaller, more creative films. She has recently appeared in productions like the Star Wars spin-off Andor and Zoë Kravitz’s directorial debut Blink Twice, showing she can move between large franchises and smaller character-focused stories. She was also in Morbius, a project that did not receive strong reactions from audiences or critics.

One of her earlier major roles came in the Amazon series Good Omens, based on the fantasy novel by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett. In the show, Arjona played Anathema Device, a character tied to a long family line connected to witch Agnes Nutter. The story follows her character working with an angel and a demon as they try to prevent the end of the world.

Information about Arjona’s experience on the show comes from an interview she gave to InStyle in 2024. In that interview, she spoke openly about how overwhelmed she felt when she first joined the project. She revealed that she even considered leaving the role before filming properly began.

She explained, “It was too much pressure.” She also shared that this was the first time she had been directly offered a role without auditioning, which made her feel unsure about her place in the project.

Arjona said, “It was the first role that was ever just offered to me, which is so bizarre. I was at a point in my career that nothing should have been offered to me. And [Neil Gaiman] was like, ‘No, it’s you. I see you, and I only see you in this role’. And I was like, ‘How the hell do you even know who I am?’ And I think it was the first time that I felt really insecure about my take on a character because I didn’t earn it.”

Despite those early doubts, she stayed in the series and delivered a performance that helped introduce her to a much wider audience. Good Omens became a well-received show, especially praised for its cast chemistry and its mix of humor and fantasy storytelling.

Arjona did not return for later seasons, but the series itself continued and is expected to return again in 2026 with a new format. Production changes and outside controversies have also affected its direction.

Since then, Arjona’s career has continued to grow. She is now attached to several upcoming projects, including major studio films such as a remake of The Thomas Crown Affair and a new Superman movie. Her work schedule shows a steady rise in high-profile roles across different types of productions.

This story shows how early pressure in a career can feel overwhelming even when things are going well from the outside. It also shows how actors can grow into their roles over time. What do you think about Adria Arjona’s experience and career path? Share your thoughts in the comments.
