Alan Ritchson is not letting the critics get him down. The actor recently went on Instagram to fire back at people who said he is too old for his new Netflix movie called War Machine.

In the film, he plays a soldier alongside big stars like Dennis Quaid and Jai Courtney. Even though some people think his age is an issue, Alan says the movie is a huge success and he is clearly having the last laugh.

In a video he posted for his millions of followers, Alan wore a black hat and a gold chain while using a funny, mocking voice to talk to his haters. He asked where all the people were who said he was too old to be a soldier. He pointed out that the military actually raised the age limit for some roles to 42, which makes his character make total sense. He wrote in his caption that Old people for the win! and joked that the movie has a hundred and fifty Oscars!

According to the engagement on his post, his fans are totally on his side. The video got hundreds of thousands of likes and thousands of comments from people who love his sense of humor. One person told him that they live vicariously through you, Sir! and called his style the perfect mixture of serious with a ton of sarcasm! Another fan stood up for him by saying that You ain’t never gonna be too old for anything.

Someone else in the comments mentioned that people are probably just jealous because he is a great actor and father who stays in a good mood. They wrote that They called you old? You’re at the top. Even though some people tried to bring him down for being 43, Alan seems more confident than ever about his career and his role in this sci-fi action movie.

It’s cool when actors show they have a thick skin and can joke around with their audience. It is pretty common for people on the internet to find something to complain about, but Alan handled it by being funny instead of getting angry. He knows he is in great shape and that age is just a number, especially when you are a massive action star.
