For Alexandra Daddario, New York Comic Con is something of a homecoming. The actress was born in New York City, and over the years she has become a familiar face to genre fans, from playing Annabeth Chase in the ‘Percy Jackson’ films to leading AMC’s supernatural drama ‘Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches’.

This year’s convention runs at the Javits Center from Thursday, October 8, through Sunday, October 11. AMC Global Media took over the Main Stage on Friday with a lineup that included ‘Kill Jackie’, ‘YAGA’, ‘The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon’ and the return of the Mayfair coven.

Daddario made a striking appearance at the convention, turning heads in a pale pink sequined dress. The sleeveless, high-neck midi gown shimmered under the stage lights as she sat in a director’s chair, microphone in hand, beaming at the crowd.

She paired the sparkling look with voluminous brown waves and a soft, glowing makeup look. On the step-and-repeat, she posed in front of the New York Comic Con backdrop with an easy smile, keeping the focus on the dress’s delicate texture.

The soft, romantic outfit made for a fun contrast with the increasingly dark material she was there to promote. Fans quickly shared photos from the appearance across social media.

Daddario joined co-stars Harry Hamlin, Tongayi Chirisa, Betsy Brandt and Eliza Scanlen for the panel, alongside co-showrunners Esta Spalding and Tom Schnauz and executive producer Mark Johnson. The session was moderated by Damian Holbrook of TV Guide Magazine and TV Insider.

The team brought plenty of news with them. The third season has been retitled ‘Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches: Salem Coven’, and it will premiere on Wednesday, December 30, on AMC and AMC+.

Attendees were also treated to an exclusive first look and a new teaser trailer. It was a welcome reward for fans who have been waiting to see where Rowan’s story goes next. The new season shifts the setting to Salem, Massachusetts, introducing a darker, revisionist take on witch history.

Danger looms over the witches, with Daddario’s Rowan Mayfair at the center of it all. As ancient magic collides with new bloodlines, Rowan must wield her rising power and confront forces determined to control the fate of the witches. The season will also introduce new characters to the story.

During the panel, Spalding and Daddario warned that things are only going to get worse for the Mayfair family. The final segment explored how the series adapts Anne Rice’s extensive literature and leaves the door open for future crossovers within the Immortal Universe.

Daddario’s panel was part of a packed afternoon for the network. Catherine Zeta-Jones kicked things off with ‘Kill Jackie’, while Carrie-Anne Moss previewed the new witchy series ‘YAGA’, which premieres on AMC+ on October 23.

The day wrapped with Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride celebrating the 15-year journey of Daryl and Carol. The fourth and final season of ‘The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon’ is set to premiere in February.

With a new setting, a fresh title, and a December premiere on the horizon, ‘Mayfair Witches’ is gearing up for its most ambitious season yet. Judging by her radiant Comic-Con appearance, Daddario is more than ready to lead the coven into Salem.
