Netflix has officially confirmed that Alice in Borderland is back with a third season, and they’ve just dropped the first teaser. The new episodes will continue the intense story based on Haro Aso’s manga, and the show is set to return on September 25.

The story picks up with Arisu and Usagi, who are now married and living a quiet life. But their peace doesn’t last long.

Strange dreams and visions start haunting them, reminding them of the dangerous world they thought they left behind. Then, Usagi suddenly vanishes. She’s led back to the Borderland by a man named Ryuji, who studies the afterlife.

Arisu is devastated and doesn’t know where to turn. That’s when Banda, still in the Borderland, shows up and tells him what happened to Usagi. With no other choice, Arisu decides to go back into the game-like world to find her and bring her back.

Netflix shared this plot info in their official announcement for the season, and the teaser has already started making waves online. Fans were quick to react, especially those who remember how Season 2 ended. “A lot of viewers felt Season 2 gave them answers, but it looks like Season 3 is ready to ask even more questions,” one fan posted after seeing the new teaser.

Kento Yamazaki and Tao Tsuchiya are back in the lead roles as Arisu and Usagi. Director Shinsuke Sato is also returning to continue the story he helped build. Familiar cast members like Hayato Isomura, Ayaka Miyoshi, and Katsuya Maiguma are back, along with new actors such as Koji Ohkura, Risa Sudou, Hiroyuki Ikeuchi, Tina Tamashiro, Kotaro Daigo, Hyunri, Sakura Kiryu, and Kento Kaku. Others joining the cast include Yugo Mikawa, Joey Iwanaga, and Akana Ikeda.

Behind the camera, the team includes returning names like writer Yasuko Kuramitsu, composer Yutaka Yamada, cinematographer Taro Kawazu, and production designers Iwao Saito and Shin Nakayama. Yuji Shimomura is handling action scenes again, while Atsushi Doi leads the VFX work. The show is produced by Robot with help from The Seven.

Netflix released the teaser on their official channels, and it’s already picking up steam. The upcoming season promises to dive deeper into the strange world between life and death, and it looks like Arisu and Usagi aren’t finished with the Borderland just yet.
