All 4 Confirmed Stephen King Adaptations Coming Out in 2025
Stephen King is probably the most popular horror author of all time. A very prolific author, King has released a series of books, the majority of which are under his own name, and most of them belong to the horror genre.
His enduring popularity is evidenced by the fact that he is one of the most often adapted authors, whether it’s the big or small screen we are dealing with. The year 2025 is also going to bring us a series of adaptations and in this report, we are going to list all the confirmed adaptations that are going to be released this year.
1. The Monkey – February 21, 2025
Starring: Theo James, Tatiana Maslany, Elijah Wood, Christian Convery, Colin O’Brien, Rohan Campbell, and Sarah Levy
When twin brothers Bill and Hal find their father’s old monkey toy in the attic, a series of deaths start. The siblings decide to throw the toy away and move on with their lives, growing apart over the years.
2. The Life of Chuck – May 30, 2025 (TIFF premiere in 2024)
Starring: Tom Hiddleston, Mark Hamill, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Karen Gillan, Annalise Basso, Nick Offerman, Samantha Sloyan, Mia Sara, Taylor Gordon, Benjamin Pajak, Cody Flanagan, and Jacob Tremblay
A life-affirming, genre-bending story based on Stephen King’s novella about three chapters in the life of an ordinary man named Charles Krantz.
3. The Running Man – November 7, 2025

4. It: Welcome to Derry – TBA 2025
Starring: Jovan Adepo, Chris Chalk, James Remar, Taylour Page, Stephen Rider, Madeleine Stowe, and Bill Skarsgård
It will follow the events in the 1960s, the time leading up to the events of the first film in the Stephen King It series.
