Superhero fans have a lot to look forward to in 2026. Despite some recent game cancellations, new Marvel and DC titles are on the horizon, from action-packed adventures to LEGO spinoffs and squad-based battles.

While exact release dates are still under wraps, several exciting games have already been confirmed for next year.

One of the first major releases next year is Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra from Skydance New Media. The game will let players take control of both Black Panther and Captain America as they team up to fight Hydra.

Originally expected in 2025, the release was pushed to early 2026. Skydance hasn’t confirmed which platforms the game will appear on yet, but it’s expected to be multiplatform, according to the studio and Marvel Games.

DC fans also have reason to be excited with the next LEGO Batman game. LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight will take players through several classic Batman movie events while incorporating Arkham-style mechanics. Warner Bros. Games, TT Games, and LEGO confirmed a 2026 release window for the game. It will be available on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC, making it easy for most fans to join in the fun.

Marvel is also bringing a new fighting game in 2026. Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls from Arc System Works recently had a closed beta on PS5. The game features a tag team style, letting players pick from a wide roster of Marvel heroes. The comic book-inspired combat offers a fresh take on superhero fighting games, and the game is expected on both PC and PS5.

Insomniac Games is back with another major Marvel title, Marvel’s Wolverine. After a long wait, a new gameplay trailer showed Logan in full action, hinting at an exciting single-player adventure. The game will include several X-Men characters and is planned as a PS5 exclusive. Insomniac is aiming for a fall 2026 release, giving fans plenty of time to gear up for the mutant hero’s return.

For now, these four titles are the only Marvel and DC games confirmed for 2026. Other projects may emerge as the year approaches, but fans can already look forward to a mix of beat ’em up action, story-driven adventures, and LEGO fun.
