Amanda Seyfried had a fun weekend in Palm Springs while promoting her new movie, The Testament of Ann Lee. The 40-year-old actress attended the 2026 Palm Springs International Film Festival on Saturday, January 3, along with the film’s director, Mona Fastvold.

The two joined the “Talking Pictures” event, presented by Kering, to talk about the movie. Amanda also took some time to sign autographs for her fans. For the event, she wore a black mini-dress with a crisp white collar and matching white cuffs. She finished the look with pointy black heels. She was wearing Balenciaga, paired with Aquazzura shoes and Tiffany & Co jewelry.

During the festival, Amanda reflected on her past work in a December visit to Chelsea Handler’s podcast, where she talked about her Wicked audition.

Kate Hudson was also at the Palm Springs festival and stole the show on the red carpet. She is set to receive the Icon Award this year, honoring her career in film. Miley Cyrus and Mia Goth were also recognized at the event, but Amanda and Kate were the main focus on the carpet.

This year, the festival is honoring a group of stars whose work continues to inspire the film world. In addition to Kate and Amanda, other honorees included Timothée Chalamet, Adam Sandler, Michael B. Jordan, Ethan Hawke, Chloe Zhao, Jessie Buckley, Paul Mescal, and Rose Byrne. Leonardo DiCaprio was scheduled to receive the Desert Palm Achievement Award for Actor, but he was unable to attend.

The festival was full of big names. Amanda and Kate were seen mingling with other stars including Selena Gomez, who came to support Amanda, as well as Mona Fastvold, Paul Feig, Laura Dern, Mahershala Ali, and Jacob Elordi.

Amanda looked chic in her modern vintage-style outfit, and Kate was elegant as always in her red carpet look. The event highlighted their achievements while giving fans a chance to see their favorite stars in person.

According to sources, the Palm Springs International Film Festival continues to be a major platform for celebrating actors who have made an impact in the film industry, and this year was no exception.
