‘American Horror Story’ Season 13 Cast Revealed, Featuring Top Hollywood Stars
American Horror Story is back for its 13th season, and the cast has officially been revealed. Ryan Murphy shared the news in a video released on Halloween, confirming that the new season is expected to premiere in 2026.
The cast brings together familiar faces from the Ryan Murphy universe. Ariana Grande, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Emma Roberts, Billie Lourd, Gabourey Sidibe, Leslie Grossman, and Jessica Lange are all confirmed to appear.
Emma Roberts’ character Madison Montgomery from Coven also makes a return, delivering the teaser line, “Surprise, b***. I bet you thought you’d seen the last of me.”
Many of the actors have worked with Murphy before. Ariana Grande starred in Scream Queens as Chanel #2, reuniting her with Emma Roberts and Billie Lourd, who played Chanel Oberlin and Chanel #3. Roberts herself has been a recurring figure in the AHS universe, appearing in Freak Show, Cult, Apocalypse, and 1984, and recently starred in Delicate.
Jessica Lange will also be returning, even though she previously said she would not come back to the franchise. Speaking to an Irish radio station at the Glasgow Film Festival earlier this year, Lange said, “Oh Christ, no. I mean, I haven’t done it for more than 10 years, 12 years, so, no, I’m not doing it.” Lange first appeared in the original season, Murder House, playing the memorable Constance Langdon.
Evan Peters and Sarah Paulson have been mainstays of the series, taking on various characters since the original season. They have appeared in Asylum, Coven, Freak Show, Hotel, Roanoke, Cult, Apocalypse, and Double Feature. Angela Bassett, who co-produces 9-1-1 with Murphy, is also returning to reprise her role as Marie Laveau from Coven and Apocalypse, and she has appeared in Freak Show, Hotel, and Roanoke.
With so many familiar faces, Season 13 is shaping up to be a major event for American Horror Story fans.
