Ana de Armas Rocks a Sheer Black Gown That Leaves Little to the Imagination in The Latest Throwback
Ana de Armas has captured attention once again, this time with a throwback look from the 2024 Louis Vuitton Paris show. Fans have been sharing videos of the actress in a daring sheer black lace dress, a look that combined romantic gothic vibes with modern high-fashion elegance.
The intricate floral patterns and nude underlay created a “barely-there” effect that made the outfit unforgettable and reinforced her long-standing connection with the luxury brand.
The 37-year-old actress has grown from a promising newcomer to a global fashion and film icon. Even in retrospective videos, the sheer gown highlights her confidence and comfort in bold wardrobe choices. I think I’ve always been someone who is drawn to the discipline that this profession requires, de Armas recently said. You have to be willing to push limits, whether that’s in the roles you take or how you present yourself to the world.

Currently, she is preparing to return to Los Angeles to begin work on the English-language remake of the Polish thriller Sweat. In the film, directed by J. Blakeson, she plays Emma Kent, a fitness influencer whose perfect online life begins to unravel after a dangerous encounter with a rival and obsessive fan.
This project is a departure from her recent action-heavy roles, like her performance as assassin Eve Macarro in From the World of John Wick: Ballerina, which starred Keanu Reeves and the late Lance Reddick.
Ana has also been working on diverse projects outside the action genre. She starred in Ron Howard’s historical survival thriller Eden, alongside Jude Law, Sydney Sweeney, and Vanessa Kirby. The film is based on a true story of Europeans settling on a remote island in the 1930s and offered Ana a more raw, intense performance compared to her red-carpet appearances.
Looking ahead to 2026 and 2027, she will reunite with Tom Cruise in the deep-sea thriller Deeper, directed by Doug Liman. Ana has said the role required crazy training and physical stunts. She is also in talks to star in a drama called Reenactment with Benicio del Toro and Cameron Diaz.
Despite her busy professional life, including her high-profile collaborations, Ana remains focused on roles that challenge her. She credits her early training in Havana for her improvisational skills and her ability to adapt. My life and career have been a big improvisation, she said. I think that’s why I’m always looking for the next thing that will challenge me.
