Aquaman Star Dolph Lundgren Promises A Better Sequel

Dolph Lundgren played many different roles in his career. From the brutal Soviet boxer Ivan Drago to King Nereus, the king of the underwater kingdom of Xebel from DC’s 2018 movie Aquaman.
Set in the DC Extended Universe, Aquaman was released in December 2018 and with $1.148 billion worldwide, it is the highest-grossing DC movie ever. Jason Momoa is playing Arthur Curry, the titular hero who’s trying to overtake the throne of Atlantis from his evil half-brother Orm, who was portrayed by Patrick Wilson. The sequel – Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom – is currently in production, and one of the stars, Dolph Lundgren, is teasing that the movie will be stronger, more exciting, and generally better than its predecessor.
“That whole picture is just a class act. Everybody from James Wan and Jason Momoa to Amber Heard and the producers. I think this one is better. I think the script is stronger and it’s more exciting. The technology has moved forward in four years, so I was really pleased to be a part of it. James Wan is just going to blow everybody away again by this tremendous world that he creates. He’s involved in every little detail, even every little piece of every weapon, and I think it’s going to be great.”

The first look on Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom was released last month on DC FanDome.
