Ariana Grande Addresses Concerns About Her “Skeletal” Appearance, Calls Online Comments “Dangerous”
Ariana Grande is pushing back once again against the ongoing comments about her body. The singer and actress reminded fans that talking about someone’s appearance can cause real harm, saying the constant focus on her weight needs to stop.
Grande shared a clip on Instagram from an interview she did last year while promoting the first Wicked movie.
In the video, she talked openly about how often people judge her looks and how dangerous it can be. She said, “In today’s society, there is a comfortability that we shouldn’t have at all — commenting on others’ looks, appearance, what they think is going on behind the scenes, or health or how they present themselves … that I think is really dangerous.”
She added that she has dealt with body comments since she was young, but she no longer accepts those conversations in her life. Along with the reposted interview, she wrote on her Instagram Story that she was sharing it again as a gentle reminder for everyone.

Discussions about Grande’s weight have circulated for years, especially as she promoted the Wicked films in 2024 and this year. Some fans believed they were expressing concern, but Grande made it clear she does not welcome the commentary, even if it’s meant to be caring.
Back in 2023, she addressed a similar situation. At the time, she explained that people were comparing her current appearance to an earlier period when she was actually struggling. She shared, “I was on a lot of antidepressants and drinking on them and eating poorly and at the lowest point of my life when I looked the way you consider my healthy, but that in fact wasn’t my healthy.”
Grande’s latest message shows that her feelings on the subject have not changed. For her, the constant conversation around her body is not only unhelpful but harmful.
