Ariana Grande Goes Full Kevin McCallister in Hilarious ‘SNL’ Family Reunion Sketch

Ariana Grande leaned into classic holiday nostalgia with a sharp and dark turn during her latest time hosting Saturday Night Live. One sketch reimagined Home Alone with Grande stepping into the role of Kevin McCallister, but with much more violent consequences.

The skit opens years after the original movie, with Kevin now welcoming his family back home for Christmas. He has spent time alone in the large house and, as before, protected it with elaborate traps. The problem is that he forgets to turn them off when his relatives unexpectedly arrive.

As family members flood into the house, one after another is injured by the same kinds of devices Kevin once used on burglars. Doors, floors, household items, and hidden mechanisms all become hazards. Each attempt to help only causes more chaos, as traps trigger new accidents throughout the home.

The sketch escalates quickly, moving from shock to full absurdity. Even Kevin’s siblings and extended family are not spared, and the situation grows worse with every new arrival. By the end, nearly everyone has been taken out by the booby-trapped house.

The tone stays exaggerated and cartoonish, clearly playing on the original film’s slapstick style but pushing it into extreme territory.
