Ashley Tisdale Amazes Fans by Slipping Back into High School Musical Costumes “20 Years and 2 Kids Later”
shley Tisdale reminded everyone why she was the queen of East High this week. To celebrate the 20th anniversary of High School Musical, the actress tried on her old costumes from the Disney Channel hit, sending fans into a wave of nostalgia. Tisdale shared the moment on social media, showing that even two decades and two children later, she could still rock the iconic outfits.
The 40-year-old star turned a hallway in a storage unit into her own runway, modeling three looks that Sharpay Evans fans instantly recognized. The video was set to Bop To The Top, bringing back memories from the original 2006 movie.
Her first look was a fluffy blue tulle-bottom dress. She spun around with the same sass and confidence that made Sharpay a fan favorite. The next outfit was all pink—a cropped top with a darker pink skirt and a sparkly cardigan. Tisdale even held a sparkly flip phone, leaning into Sharpay’s diva persona.
The final outfit was the classic performance ensemble: a pink t-shirt under a silver bolero jacket, paired with a short purple skirt and silver heels. “Sharpay” walked the hallway with joy, clearly enjoying reliving the character. A text overlay on the video read, “You can take the girl out of East High… but you can’t take Sharpay out of the girl.”
Her caption struck a personal note. “20 years and two babies later I’m still squeezing into these looks,” she wrote, acknowledging the passage of time and her journey from teen star to mom.
After the success of High School Musical, Tisdale kept busy. She voiced Candace Flynn on Phineas and Ferb and released pop albums like Headstrong and Guilty Pleasure. She later founded Frenshe, a wellness and lifestyle brand focused on non-toxic personal care products.
Tisdale married musician Christopher French in 2014, and the couple has two daughters. Her playful reference to “two babies later” highlights her balancing act between family life and a thriving career.
High School Musical premiered on January 20, 2006, and instantly became a global phenomenon. Alongside Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Lucas Grabeel, and Corbin Bleu, Tisdale’s Sharpay became a cultural icon. The film’s success spawned two sequels, a concert tour, and a spinoff series.
