Aubrey Plaza (41) Flaunts Baby Bump for the First Time During Outing in New York City
Aubrey Plaza has been spotted in New York City shortly after news of her pregnancy became public. The actress, known for Parks and Recreation, was seen out for a walk, marking the first time her baby bump has been seen.
Photos shared by E! Online show Plaza keeping things low-key while spending time outside with her dog. The sighting came just one day after her pregnancy was confirmed.
According to People, Plaza is expecting her first child with Christopher Abbott. A source told the outlet that the baby is expected later this year and that the couple is very happy about the news.
“[It] was a beautiful surprise after an emotional year,” the insider said, adding that they “feel very blessed.”

The update comes after a difficult time in Plaza’s life. Her estranged husband, Jeff Baena, passed away in early 2025. The two had been together for many years before separating in 2024.
After his death, a statement shared with Us Weekly read, “This is an unimaginable tragedy. We are deeply grateful to everyone who has offered support. Please respect our privacy during this time.”
In the time since, Plaza has slowly moved forward. Her relationship with Abbott developed over the years. The two worked together before, including on the film Black Bear and later on stage in “Danny and the Deep Blue Sea.”
Abbott spoke about their work together in an interview with Vogue in 2023. He explained how they kept their performances fresh.
“We’re the ones doing it every night, eight times a week,” he said. “So I think there’s a level of — without going too outside the bounds — keeping it fresh for us and just checking in that we’re having fun on stage, and sort of staying engaged.”
Now, the couple is preparing for a new chapter as they get ready to welcome their first child together.
