Avatar The Last Airbender Star Reveals His Dream Role in DCUs Teen TitansMovie

We recently shared rumors about a live-action ‘Teen Titans’ movie in the works, and they’ve now been confirmed.

Ana Nogueira, currently involved with ‘Supergirl: the Woman of Tomorrow,’ has been chosen to write the script. Production for the movie is expected to start in late 2025.

Recently, at the ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ panel, Ian Ousley, known for his role as Sokka in the live-action adaptation, shared his interest in playing Gar Logan, also known as Beast Boy, in the Teen Titans series.

I am really a huge fan of Titans, so I would love to be Beast Boy, that’s like a dream role for me,” he shared. “So, maybe one day?!

He could find himself in the role sooner than anticipated, and given his commendable martial arts expertise, he could excel in it.

Ousley started practicing taekwondo at the age of 9, achieving a third-degree black belt in 2018 following five years of competing nationally. He also made appearances in three episodes of ’13 Reasons Why’ between 2019 and 2020.

In August 2021, Ousley got the role of Sokka in the live-action ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender.’ There was some controversy about his Cherokee heritage because he’s not part of any federally recognized Cherokee tribe, but he’s from the Southern Cherokee Nation of Kentucky, which isn’t recognized by the federal government and is considered fake by some. Despite this, the series got over 19 million viewers in its first week and got renewed for two more seasons in March 2024.
