Nightcrawler’s updated outfit includes twin cutlasses, a long coat featuring the iconic X logo, a waistcoat, and pinstriped trousers, giving him a sharper, more tactical presence than before. This latest merchandise reveal builds on an earlier physical display at the D23 Expo, where attendees got an up close look at both the costume and the swords alongside Mystique’s new outfit.
Nightcrawler is far from the only X-Man getting a glow up for the crossover. Other confirmed X-Men returning for the film include Patrick Stewart as Professor X, Ian McKellen as Magneto, James Marsden as Cyclops, Kelsey Grammer as Beast, and Channing Tatum as Gambit, with each reportedly receiving costume refreshes meant to bring them closer to their source material. Cumming has been open about how different this experience has felt compared to his first outing as the character.
