‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Teaser & Poster Officially Revealed
Marvel fans just got a big surprise. The first teaser trailer for Avengers: Doomsday is out, and it confirms that Chris Evans is back as Steve Rogers.
The teaser starts in a calm and quiet way. Steve rides his motorcycle up to a small farm while a soft piano version of the Avengers theme plays in the background. He’s wearing his classic blue helmet, which instantly brings back old Captain America memories.
Inside the house, Steve looks at his old Captain America suit for a moment, almost like he’s remembering his past. Then comes the biggest surprise of all. Steve is shown holding a newborn baby and smiling with pride.
At the end of the teaser, the screen shows the words “Steve Rogers will return in ‘Avengers: Doomsday’”. Right after that, a countdown clock appears. It is set to reach zero exactly one year before the movie hits theaters on December 18, 2026.
According to Variety, Marvel is also planning to release more short teasers focused on other characters in the coming weeks.

This is the first time fans have seen Steve Rogers since the end of Avengers: Endgame. In that movie, Steve used time travel through the Quantum Realm to go back and live a full life with Peggy Carter.
He stayed in the past, married her, and grew old by her side. When he finally returned to the main timeline, he passed Captain America’s shield to Sam Wilson, officially handing over the role. Peggy, who had spent years believing Steve was gone forever after he was frozen in ice, finally got the life with him that both of them deserved.

Steve never told Sam or Bucky what really happened during all those years he was gone. Now, this teaser raises a lot of questions. Did Steve always know he would have to return? Was he hiding the fact that he might need to face Doctor Doom one day?
The teaser doesn’t explain what’s going on with Steve’s child either. Fans are already wondering if the baby could have powers or play a big role in the future of the MCU. With so many characters coming back, it looks like Avengers: Doomsday is setting up something massive.
Avengers: Doomsday is the fifth Avengers movie and the 39th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo and written by Michael Waldron and Stephen McFeely.
The cast includes familiar faces like Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Paul Rudd, Letitia Wright, Florence Pugh, Tom Hiddleston, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Pedro Pascal, and many more. The movie brings together the Avengers, Wakandans, Fantastic Four, New Avengers, and the X-Men to face Doctor Doom.
The film is scheduled to release in U.S. theaters on December 18, 2026, as part of Phase Six of the MCU. A sequel, Avengers: Secret Wars, is already set for December 17, 2027. For now, fans will have to wait and see what Marvel has planned for Steve Rogers, his family, and the future of the Avengers.
