Theresa Randle, recognized for her performances in the Bad Boys franchise and Malcolm X, has reportedly faced another legal complication. According to online records obtained on March 26, the 61-year-old was booked earlier this month on a felony charge involving corporal injury to a spouse or cohabitant.

The booking took place on March 1, though her time in custody was brief. She was released from detention only two days after her arrest on March 3. Law enforcement officials noted that she was let go due to a lack of sufficient evidence to proceed with the charges at that time.

This development follows a string of similar legal issues that have kept the former star in the headlines over the past two years. This recent incident mirrors an arrest from October 2024, when Randle was taken into custody for felony assault.

In that case, police were called to a home in the Los Angeles area twice in one week regarding a domestic dispute and a possible restraining order violation. During the October 2024 booking, sources described the actress as being uncooperative and irate with staff.

The district attorney eventually declined to pursue that earlier case as well, rejecting it just a few days after she was apprehended. While representatives for Randle have been contacted for a statement regarding this most recent March arrest, there has been no official word back yet.

The recurring nature of these incidents has continued to spark conversation among those who remember her at the height of her Hollywood career. Once a staple of 1990s cinema, Randle has maintained a very low profile in the industry over the last decade.

Her most recent on-screen appearance was in the 2020 sequel Bad Boys for Life, where she reprised her role as Theresa Burnett, the wife of Marcus Burnett. Fans were surprised when she did not return for the 2024 follow-up, Bad Boys: Ride or Die, with the role being recast and taken over by actress Tasha Smith.

While the exact reasons for the recasting were never officially detailed by the studio, speculation regarding her health began to circulate in 2023. A viral video from that year showed a woman believed to be Randle using a walker while interacting with locals in Los Angeles, leading many to express concern for her well-being.

Since that time, there have been no announced film or television projects on her horizon, suggesting she has stepped away from acting entirely. Throughout her career, she worked with some of the biggest names in the business, appearing in Space Jam, Jungle Fever, and Beverly Hills Cop III.

Her theatrical releases became much more sporadic after the late 90s. As of early this year, she appears to be focusing on personal matters rather than a professional comeback.
